There is no meaning to life, so you have to find your own meaning, but you may not control what meaning your life has; let's take french officer Arnaud Beltrame as an example. It seems that he just wanted to serve his country, as his meaning to life, however when he knowingly sacrificed his own life to save the life of a stranger, that surely gave a far more profound meaning to his life that he never expected, but then further to this, his example of self sacrifice can be an example and inspiration to many others the world over, having a positive effect on many lives.

I heard an interesting take that stuck with me on the search for meaning. Naval Ravikant said thank goodness you are not assigned a meaning for your life at birth, for from then on you would be a slave to that assigned meaning. Instead you are free to interpret meaning in your own life as you choose. Which would you rather have?

'meaning' is a concept that does not exist beyond human existance. Meaning is something we conceived ourselves. Whatever it really means to oneself, is reveiled when ones life ends. It is deeply private and universal at the same time.

There is no intricate "meaning" to it. For 300k years it was a bare survival and now we are in a decadent era and since the advances of medicine we tend to live to Metusaleh age and we mostly bum around bored to death there is the need to fill up that time with " meaning ". I can remember a teacher at school telling us a story about when people were told when they were going to die, (but that meant that some people didn't sew their fields if they were going to die next year, so god stopped telling them).
