The trick is to look by value instead of a particular part number. Often you
can find something suitable.

Parts Connexion is based in Toronto, Canada so perhaps not "handy" for you.
On the other hand, their electrolytics are on sale this month. And the Silmic II caps are well regarded.

The Silmic 2 tends to be a bit larger so I suggest checking if they fit the PCBs.
Also, Mouser carries Simic 2.

I guess a safe thing is to look for a part with the same lead spacing
and diameter no larger than the original part.

Ok...I ordered the replacement resistors (noted above) from Partconnexion...And the EEU-FM1V221L from Mouser (220uf) lead spacing is 3.5 -vs- 5mm, so a bit of finesse is required. All other parts were available from 6L6’s Mouser BOM FAF14CA149...

No part is critical on Whammy. Use whatever replacement fits. It’s still going to work perfectly. 🙂

I am in Rhode Island and order from them all the time. Shipping is very reasonable. The stuff seems actually to be shipped from Buffalo or somewhere like that. It comes USPS.


They have an excellent selection of more 'upscale' parts, but also reasonable prices on some more basic ones. And, as you mentioned, they do sometimes run some pretty good sales.
