Waveguide is more vivid, brighter and ... cheaper. Interesting are waveguide monitors with 15" bass midrange - nice full sound and efficiency.
Hard to tell which is better. I think JMLC is more relaxing. Those best arrangements of my friends are JMLC based. Now we are trying JMLC 350Hz for AMT.

Ok. But which of the JMLCs and what driver would be best suited for x-over at around 1 khz in a two way and then play all the way up to 18 khz. Avoiding that second horn is preferable.
I see that it is possible with e.g. SEOS 12 to get a widebander that can cover a lot of hz-ground.
Ejmlc-600 and BMS 4550, Beyma cp380, BC DE250 or more expensive Radian 475Be.
What sort om AMTs are you making JMLCs for?
Some say 1" drivers are a bit too small to be x-over that low, but you feel they will suffice?
jzagaja,hi could you give me some advice please, i would like to do a project similar to the avantgarde trio and would like some guidance as to which of the 3 autotech horns to buy and if possible what drivers you would recommend.cheers
8-12 inch driver in jmlc-200 and 2 inches driver in jmlc-350 and 1 inch driver in JMLC-600 or JMLC-1000. BMS or Radian.
Have been looking at suitable drivers for these horns would be grateful if you guys can offer some advice on what you would use as there seems quite a lot of choice
Hi,
I like to share some photos about TAD TH-4001 clones from panelled solid walnut. 😀

Those are wonderful looking, are you going to apply a finish to them.
The man who will use them, they have TAD 4001 drivers. I think he will use them with this horn 😀.
The customer will finish them. I will ask pictures from him. They will be more beautiful.

...my vision:
Iwata 600 above a cabinet top chamfered like the Orphean MKII, to allow a reduction in c-c spacing. Just a little while longer...😉
Ed,
Did this project ever come to fruition? If so, what driver did you use in the Iwata?
Bill
Does anyone have an OS12 WG for sale by any chance? (or a pair of them)?
I built my L/R speakers using them, and need another for my center channel. I'm happy to buy a pair if need be.
I emailed AutoTech over a year ago and they would not ship a pair to me in Australia, they said I had to go through DIY Sound Group.
I've emailed Erich from DIY Sound Group back and forth and he has (or had) a pair of OSWG's for me however has not been able to ship them to me in over 12 months.
If anyone can please assist I am in dire need to get one (or a pair) for a matching center channel.
I have the cabinet sitting here waiting to go (just needs WG)...
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks.
