True. Is there any information available on the "ranking codes" for the 2SJ28/2SK82?
The parts I tested have labels "JD-33" (2SJ28) and "JE-33" (2SK82).
It's the same ranking code priciple for all Sony Vfets look at post # 33
Your 2SJ/2SK are rank code 33
Today I cut opened some V fets. 2sk60,2sk82,2sk70,2sk76 and 2sk180
Tokin 2sk 180 die size is 13mmx13mm. Very Big one.
2sk60 is the smallest one . Only 2.5mmx2.5mm. grade /batch P56
Yamaha 2sk76 3mmx3mm
NEC 2sk70 4mmx4mm used thick bonding wire compared to others
Sony 2sk82 two 4mmx4mm die connected parallel. grade JE33
I thought 2sk82 is a double die version of 2sk60. but 2sk82 have two bigger sized die.

I was referred to this thread when I asked about the 2SK79, but I could not find anything about this part here (am I blind?). Anyway, here's a datasheet I found on the Amplimos website (with wrong/useless pin labels), my own (correct) pin label and my curve tracer data.

The very first post? The PDF contains J18, K60, K63 & K79. ;-)I was referred to this thread when I asked about the 2SK79, but I could not find anything about this part here (am I blind?).
Hmm, yes... the search function did not find it though. Also, the 2SK79 datasheet attached to the first post contains the same pinout error as the one on the Amplimos website (they specify BJT pins, which are useless for a JFET/VFET).
