I hope we will soon see the new Qaksa!

Prasi
We need a new game ... I hope Hugh be kind and show us something to pass the time. A hybrid with valve? A valve in Vas phase? QUASI with MOSFET input and output?
not bad feed the hungry dogs, Hugh ..

Maybe that hybrid quasi, more powerful version, with one mosfet and two bjts should be paid attention and evolve. A real Frankenstein!

Hi Thiago,
I have been building hybrids for some years now, and in fact doing one for a new flagship model, not for DIY. To be honest, hybrids are a bit like auto hybrids, they attract attention, but very people even buy them!
I posted back a couple of weeks ago the GK1, that sounds very, very good. It was a simple cathode follower using a ECC189/6ES8 but using careful operating points (Vak of 92V and 8.5mA Ip) at line level.

Hi Max.
I can adapt my PCB for it.
Hi Hugh.
Thank you for reminding me of GK1.
If you can allow me to do a layout for GK1.
thanks
Thiago

An all FET quasi with 2sk170 or 2sj74 inputs, 2sk2013/2sj313 drivers/phase inverters, maybe dual IRFP240 on top dual 2SJ162 on bottom? Or is that just silly?

Why would someone want to use and pay premium for obsolete parts or hard to get genuine one like the 2sk170/2sj74 and 2sk2013/2sj313 ? Whenever possible I always avoid preamp and amp designs that uses these types of obsolete devices.
When you have to pay more cash for a couple of tiny jfet & drivers than for a power transformer, something has gone very wrong...

Who said anything about genuine JFETs 🙂
I have made 5 different amps that sound good with my fake 2sk170's and they have served me well so not a problem. Now I have fake 2sk2013/2sj313 that seem to work too. Anyhow they are perfect for all of these designs that people seem to keep coming up with around here. They can't really be obsolete uobtabium because folks are still making a lot of amps with them.

Have you had a chance to compare (sonically) a pair of genuine JFET vs some fake one ?
If the fake one sound the same please send me a link by PM.
Back to Quasi now, sorry folks.

Thiago, as far as you offer your boards through a website, the price does not matter, since you haven't told the community what you are telling now. My business is to keep Clube DIY Áudio safe, and my friends safe too.
Hugh, I apologize for the above attachment. It must have been sent by my colleague that runs Clube DIY Áudio on Facebook besides me. It had been private since then.
Max,
Você me acha um pirata?
Você tem PCB que ja lhe enviei.
Seria mais bonito vim conversar comigo.
voce sabe minhas placas são vendidas a preço de custo. isso é comercial?
metade do seu forum me conhece.
Voce sabe da historia destas PCB.
Seja homem da proxima.
sorry Ranchu e Hugh por isso,
vou me manter longe do forum

You think I'm a pirate?
You have PCBs already sent you.
It would be beautiful come talk to me.

I have a JFET Circlophone with real and one with 2sk170bl qnty 40 in bag for $7 from Ali. I can't hear or measure the difference at the speaker. So far have made ACA, M2, F5 HA, F5 sk2014/j313, JFET Circlophone with MOSFET outputs, and still having fun and good sound. $7 goes a long way.

Please guys, stop this.
For what I understand, Thiago has put a LOT of work into the pcb layouts and if he wants to place the pcb into the forum with no profit - and his costs are NOT going to give him profit - then I approve and I do not like to see forum members fighting, particularly when they are both from the same country.
If anyone wants to make a profit, let him talk to me first, but from what I understand here Thiago's attempts are to keep people happy, I know what is involved in group buys, and I know how hard it is to make a profit from it. That is why I keep my best designs for commercial sale, and try to sell at the least fully built/tested modules. This way I can make some money from my IP.
I support Thiago here, and Max, please, cool it...... he is NOT making profit from this, I am more than comfortable with this arrangement.
Storm in a tea cup - however, it shows how seriously people take audio. I'm very happy that it still brings passion, because I'm stuck in this industry for the remainder of my life!!

Asks Eric if I charged me the PCB I sent HIM .. I would be a seller?
This is very sad to be called the seller.
Thiago
Yep !!
Got some PCB free of charge, even shipping ! Thanks again Thiago, these are making me and some friends very happy 😀
BR,
Eric
That's two sets of quasi's you have now Eric. You need to start stuffing boards and soldering!
I know, I know. I'm building one for a friend and one for myself with a SMPS from Cresnet.

Hi Thiago, you are always welcome here in this thread my friend.
I admire the wonderful pcbs you produce, in fact I have some you did for one of Carlos' amplifiers if I'm not mistaken. Very good quality and purchased at no more than the manufacture cost!

Hi Ranchu.
I can prove that there is no gain. I have receipts, which manufactures PCBs in Brazil.
More will stick to the plates in my drawer, I think people do not like to be helped
Sorry

I'm looking for new projects but there are so many to chose from.

Thanks All

You do not know how happy I am to see him with this PCB.
Thank you so much for this.
You will love this amp

The quasi amps made it into my main system. I tried them on the midranges but not quite enough grunt to keep up. They are working great running the tweeters. Still some neatening up of the total set up required but I had enough work and wanted to sit back and listen.
Excellent project.
Thanks to all,
Evan
