I hope your company includes an expat Scot who will explain exactly how the dust has settled.

Meanwhile, to deflect attention fom the subject, I have attached a naughty postcard!

Hm.. my little Tiger has only 550W (add 150 for the brush) and it does the job. I think that with much more power it will suck tight onto the carpet and can not be moved anymore.

Oh boy ready for some vacum cleaner porn, share a picture of your tiger...:D

I also think north america markett maybe doesn"t need the same V C than Europe ? Big thick carpett on the second story rooms in North America...not so much in Europe from my experience... asking myself btw if a Dyson in CE or America has the same power ????

Could try running a good 12awg ext cord to a different circuit for the vac?

That would be a long run, the idiot that built the house shared the single garage circuit with the adjoining laundry and family rooms. I can't cut wood and wash clothes at the same time either. It's easier to alternate the loads.

When we remodel the kitchen some day I'll have to have a sub-panel run to add enough circuits to get the place up to code.

Shag Carpet?

Not sure what your are meaning, but wool hand made shag rugs or very dense but short height need indeed different vaccum technic than thick and smooth and confortable american floor carpet some have in their bedrooms..

The very thick floor carpet you have in some home places are rare here in Europe but in Palace hotels. Special mention should be made for floor wool carpet seen in Scotland (castles, houses or flats) which is unique from the few I understood (I surmise all the colder countries have some own tradition to suit their floor) but more woven than cuttedvertical wool spurs hand (or mechanical) made shag rugs.

Does it really work on multiple surfaces (wood, carpets, ceramic) in the same time?

Had the feeling than the dust case is too small... Maybe it calls for daily vaccums task or every todays perhaps ?

Hey guys, ready for a group buys for Boston Dynamics with a VC robot able to clean the stairs and the basement ? :D

I am now a walking advert for the Dyson V10.
Okay, enough said. You guys don't really want to hear about vacuums anyway, unless of course were talking tubes. :)

I bought the wife a v10 about 7 months ago and we love it. I mounted the charging bracket inside a cupboard door in the laundry room so it's out of the way but readily accessible.

We had a built in vacuum system but she hated lugging the heavy gear around and did not find it very convenient.
