Hi Filenet
Like other group buys only a small percentage of people’s really build an amplifier within one year. Also I am not a good “seller” compared to others in the forum...🙁
However, I recently received some questions from several members building the amp at this moment. Your list (with duplicates) only shows a fraction of the ones who have already commented and does not include members from another forum. Of course it is impossible that everybody will be entirely satisfied because such an amplifier does not exist.😉 it is a matter of match within a system and taste can not be argued... but I am happy because I got very good feedback so far 😛
Anyway, this a strange query but I suppose it is in a good spirit🙂

Unfortunately, among some other DIY-ers I dis NOT complete these project yet. I have my own reason why and I apologize for it, all I can do to promise I will complete it very soon.🙂
I need to find a metalworking shop where they can cut my heat sinks into halves and buy some heat spreader (copper or aluminum) not only for this project but for another also.

Personally. I struggle more on sheet metal works and casing hardware than the actual soldering and troubleshooting during the amp building process.

All of my current power amps are already working naked without an enclosure. I have not found a proper solution to the enclosures yet, and I m happy to let them sing naked at the moment.

Dear filenet, I don't know what you are out for and what is the reason for your status asking.

For myself I already had mentioned here my having finished this amp and I consider it outstanding. It is my current amp, even if I have a few others.

We committed building this amp vs. Fab and if he is happy with feedbacks I strongly think, we can be happy as well.

Cheers, Ernst

I agree with you, even if you match amplifier to the system, a perfect system does not exist.
I do not have a precise intention with the score list, i just got excited and maybe i wanted some confirmation.
As i imagine that not everybody finished the amplifier, forget about status asking, just give a score to the amplifier please, it does not hurt.

Here is the box 41cm width 15.5cm high 27cm depth intended for making the USSA5 amplifier once i am finished only the front panel is missing.
Thank you friends for helping me finish it
Others start from the individual parts. i start from the box i hope i'm justified....

Some Pics

Good evening gentlemen,

Since some porn is always asked for, I post a few pics of my USSA-5 amp. Easy to see, I use a very small chassis and a wooden front. The chassis is a mini dissipante 3 HU/300 - and I just saw, that I need a few black screws with a big head in order to omit the blank screws and shims on the rear side.
For me this is a damn good amp - thanks Fab!

Cheers, Ernst

Nice job! You will really enjoy it as it breaks in, give it time and you will be amazed.
