I hate that movie. A much cooler concept than is the actual movie. The only part I found well done is, where a group of raiding alien ships first approach the western town from across the prairie at dusk. The townspeople standing in the street and sitting on horses, staring at the slowly approaching lights in the distance, wondering what the heck they could be.
If you are familiar with Star Wars movie series, you do recognize the timeline of the story, right? "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,", it already took place somewhere other than our world, unlike Star Trek which takes place in the future. The director / writer of Star Wars, George Lucas did have some influence from Erich von Däniken's 1968 book, Chariots of the Gods which now made into TV series.

They killed a quite good History based channel and replaced it with crappy unscientific BORING junk.
Guess not much people was interested in Battle of Thermopylae or how Chinese Terracotta Warriors came to be or ... or ... or ... a ZILLION other interesting subjects, but hey, why not reduce or even close the Channel if it´s not profitable enough and just create another with this content for those who like it?

yes, but the vernacular in this instance has it meaning something akin to “not having this” as in a situation which is very unwelcome.
