Again, there is a reason why Einstein never got the Nobel Prize for his relativity because nobody can prove it or disprove it and it is still remained a theory.
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2020
Roger Penrose “for the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity”
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2005
Roy J. Glauber“for his contribution to the quantum theory of optical coherence”
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2004
David J. Gross, H. David Politzer and Frank Wilczek “for the discovery of asymptotic freedom in the theory of the strong interaction”
theory seems to be quite common so it is not that...
I think you may be confusing 'theory' with 'hypothesis'.Again, there is a reason why Einstein never got the Nobel Prize for his relativity because nobody can prove it or disprove it and it is still remained a theory.
In physics, a theory is judged by the extent to which its predictions agree with empirical observations. The quality of a physical theory is also judged on its ability to make new predictions which can be verified by new observations.
Eistein's theories of relativity satisfy both of the above criteria.
Just some takes from around the 1900's:
It is apparent to me that the possibilities of the aeroplane, which two or three years ago were thought to hold the solution to the [flying machine] problem, have been exhausted, and that we must turn elsewhere.
— Thomas Edison, November 1895
Kelvin
I can state flatly that heavier than air flying machines are impossible.
— Lord Kelvin, 1895
I have not the smallest molecule of faith in aerial navigation other than ballooning, or of the expectation of good results from any of the trials we heard of. So you will understand that I would not care to be a member of the Aeronautical Society.
— Lord Kelvin, 1896
How that turned out
Seems none of these were up to date with then current research and experiments and made absolute statements about a subject they knew little about which they really shouldn't have.
You can understand the concept, but that doesn't mean it can be done. There is space-time warping that can make interstellar traveling possible. Just because you don't understand it, does not mean it can't be done.
Take the Alcubierre warp drive for instance: Alcubierre drive - Wikipedia
The idea proposed by Alcubierre is consistent with the Einstein field equations, but would require space to have a negative energy density in order to work.

Maybe you should listen to Einstein himself. Theory is not fact.
"No amount observations can prove my theory correct. But it only takes one observation to prove my theory wrong." Einstein.
A theory is just that. A theory.
wiseoldtech - Thank you for sharing your experience. As I said before these Unknowns have been experienced by honest intelligent people. There is nothing in that experience that should cause anyone to jump to conclusions about interstellar space travel. You saw something there. I believe you. I saw some things too. To confuse that with aliens from space is just setting up a straw man to knock him down and heap ridicule on honest observers. Once again it does nothing to clarify or indentify what is really happening. Something or some things are happening and the honest answer is we simply do not know. Anyone who wants to take the front line and talk about that is marginalized as a kook or irrelevant to the interests of our culture and society. It's seems shocking that our institutions dedicated to truth and learning wouldn't be first in line to want to discover what these "weird unknowns" are. Lack of knowing should not prevent lack of investigating but it does.
"No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong." - Einstein
If, one day, experimental evidence that was beyond doubt was to go against Einstein’s predictions, we could deduce that his theories are incorrect or incomplete.
All theories are subject to revision as new experimental facts emerge.

Look at it this way. If quantum physics or relativity are complete, then they can predict everything. But they cannot.
Quantum physics only work at the atomic level.
Relativity only works at the large scale.
There are really a lot we don't know.

One of the great errors in the public understanding of physics is to equate settled with proved.A theory is just that. A theory.
While Einstein’s theories are “settled”, they are not proved.
But to plan for them not to work would be utter folly.
Theories are not settled in such a way as not to be subject to revision in further inquiry.
Seems none of these were up to date with then current research and experiments and made absolute statements about a subject they knew little about which they really shouldn't have.
Exactly. Everybody think they`re an expert because they learned some rules, tricks or insights. To them, that`s the whole picture and anything out of the box is heresy.
Hammer and nail kinda problems / cargo cult ;-)
Physics are the same. But our knowledge is incomplete.

LOL! First you dish Einstien than you use one of his theories to make your point. Seems your knowledge is less complete than most.
One of the most aggravating aspects of contemplating the phenomenon is that no one hypothesis satisfactorily explains all the cases.
The ET (extra-terrestrial) Hypothesis is by far the most popular with the nuts & bolt crowd (ie we are witnessing physical craft), that believes these craft are traveling from outside our solar system to visit our planet. Down this path lies the popular mythology regarding C/R (crash/retrievals), with or without attendant alien bodies (alive or dead); RevEng (reverse engineering) of recovered ET technology which has culminated with man-made ARVs (alien reproduction vehicles). Extending off these topics lies “Exopolitics”; a NASA conspiracy to suppress evidence of ET bases on the moon and a Secret Space Program where the US and other countries have enormous military spacecraft patrolling near-earth orbit. The claim underpinning the Exopolitical discourse is that of a “Breakaway Civilization”: a secret, technologically advanced subculture of powerful elites with their own military and industrial capabilities.
Often cited in support of Exopolitical discourse is the claims of hacker Gary McKinnon where he claims to have hacked NASA and found a photo of an enormous military spacecraft and a manifest detailing ship to ship transfers of military personnel.
Another person who contributes to this discourse is former Bush-era Assistant Secretary for HUD, Catherine Austin Fitts, who co-authored a 2017 report that claimed to find “$21 trillion in unauthorized spending by the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development over a 17-year period.”
I personally do not support any of these claims though I would not be surprised one bit if the US military had already militarized the moon.

Can you prove he said that?
I have no doubt he said that because that is how science works.
A theory is a hypothesis which is not proven false by any observations or experiments and makes correct testable predictions.
Einstein's Theory has done that so far.
UNDER OUR CURRENTLY UNDERSTANDING BUT IF OUR UNDERSTANDINGS ARE FLAWED THEN WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS ALSO FLAWED.
Physics are the same. But our knowledge is incomplete.

Yes. You are absolutely correct.

1921 Albert Einstein received the Nobel Prize for 'Services to Theoretical Physics' which no doubt included his Theory of Relativity.
Consider this. Two guys riding a bicycle with airfoil sections and a balance/scale mounted on the handlebar created the most accurate "aeronautical" data of the time. Surpassing all the information available at the time. Could there be a more simple path to solving the space travel problem? Won't that be awesome.
One more odd thing to contribute to my earlier post here (#86) is that when that globe/orb/probe/ whatever finally shot up into the sky, as I remember, it did not rustle the trees nearby.
Nor was there any sound created by it.
There was no "wind currents" generated by its instantaneous flight upwards, as one would naturally assume.
