It takes a lot of parts and a lot of patience to modify a crossover. The result is usually great if you succeed. I have a bunch of parts, mostly capacitors and resistors, and I can borrow parts when I need them from some friends on the local DIY forum. Coils of various values, for example, I don't have too much of that. If you don't have all that at hand, it's hard to do.
In this particular case, it will probably be reduced to changes in capacitors and resistors. It's not that complicated.

thanks man!
Try measuring at 2m and with a window of about 5ms. It won’t be without reflections ruining your measurement, but you can check if the dip is still there. It shouldn’t.
Btw NIXIE62 didn’t criticise on the design. Just warning you modding can and will set you of desired course if not done properly.
thanks man.
yeah no worries Nixie62 is a great guy. I don’t take these things personally in the least.
i will try and measure that way.
i will look into that for my Mac.No, stay on REW. That is all and with ARTA the best solution, costly alternatives aside.
What you do need is a (crossover) simulation app like Xsim, Boxsim or VituixCAD. I use Parallels and W10 on my MacBook Pro and everything runs fine. So if you,re to invest, get W10 running on your Mac.
much appreciated!

if I install parallels on my Mac do I need to buy and install windows as well to run windows apps?
W10 will run without purchase. I've found it reminds you if you use it without registration but doesn't stop you, so if this is only for occasional use...
ok I’m trying it right now.

ok I’m up and running XSIM now on my laptop.
finally
what is ESR in the inductor values?
is that the DCR of the inductor?
thanks

Yes (equivalent series resistance which in an inductor is the resistance of the wire).
ok that is cool that I can put that in there as a factor
so is m(R) = ohms?
how do I put 0.3ohms resistance?
would it be 300m(R)?
thanks

Yes, 300m. The capacitors have them too, just leave them at 50m for now.
it’s nice to see what effect the resistance has in an inductor on the overall freq response
8.2uF is the standar value. There will not be any big differences. And also to see that if I can find an 8ohm capacitor an 8.2ohm hardly makes a difference
Post the plot and we can turn it into the frd and zma files.
my speakers unfortunately have two different types of woofers in MTM
do you mean an REW measurement?
And they are Proac drivers made by seas. But seas has no data on them.
would DATS be able to generate the plots and data for both woofers?
