if we get our names in before the GB closes then we all get what we want.
Most GB organisers will ask for payment before placing the order.
All our GB organisers put in an enormous amount of work to get these going and sorted and posted.
Thanks for being the martyrs to our cause.

I've just upgraded my order to 4 NS10 and 8 reg boards.

Just dumped the Wiki into excel and found the totals off so I updated them after putting in my own selfish habitual needs

Hehehehe,

Thanks guys for your work!

I will only need a positive supply for my DAC, can the +/- be used independantly? I need to create one +5V, two +3.3V, and one +2V. Can I do this?
Hi,
the post cost increments with weight vary significantly.
Can you estimate/measure/weigh how many PCBs and packaging fit each weight category?

More on shipping...
Obviously I don't have the actual weight of the PCBs.
Using a kitchen scale and an Aleph-X PCB as a sample,
I estimate the 4"x5" board to be about 50g each.
I don't have the dimensions of the NS10 board but let's
say it's about the same so 50g for that as well.
I bought some padded envelopes and test fitted
using some CD cases (don't have anything of the
exact PCB size). 50g here and you can easily fit 25 PCBs.
So some guesses based on these numbers:
0 - 250g - 5 PCBs
251 - 500 g - 9 PCBs
501 - 1kg - 19 PCBs
1kg - 2kg - 38 PCBs (double packaging weight budget)
In some cases it may be advantageous to split an
order up into two packages.

Hi,
when you can confirm that 9PCBs and 19PCBs fit in each weight category, I will confirm my order quantity.
How about ordering 1000PCBs now?
How could we sub you to pay the extra cost until the surplus is sold?
Would it be cheaper to send a package to Europe and then distribute the European orders locally. Or would this invite interest from Customs and Excise? i.e. more taxes.

As of December 1st, the limit for tax exempt import overhero has been raised to ~USD575 at the current exchange rate.
Pretty cool X-mas gift, saves $230 in added taxes.

I know we are all getting a bit anxious with this GB but some things had to be done before ordering production so here is the state of affairs.
Last Monday Manu sent to Steen a set of etched boards (Tooleregs) for him to test the last layout, guess that will take us at least to Wednesday next week to have some results. Maybe Steen chips in and let us know better.
On the NS10 front, Manu said he will prepare Gerber's starting yesterday, so we should have them by this weekend I hope, but again we will wait his report on this one.
The size of the NS10 set of boards will be something like 3.300 X 4.300” taken from my layout so the final Gerber’s could be a bit different.
Cheers

I have ordered 10 toole reg boards. Thank you to everyone involved, these are exactly what I need! I may increase my order based on shipping to Canada and the final price. Just like a Canadian, Dennis forgot about shipping rates for us Canadians. You have rates to the US and international, but not domestic. Any idea on domestic rates?
Canadian shipping
I hadn't given any quotes for Canadian shipping because
there is no suitable flat rate service.
You'll have to look it up at Canada Post's website, based on
the an estimate of the weights of the boards you're
ordering and your location. For example, 10 boards with
packaging will probably be in the 550g range. I'm in Toronto
and you can use M5S1A1 as the postal code.

I found the boards in the mailbox, when I got home this evening. Tomorrow I will be babysitting, but I hope to get them drilled and populated on Sunday.
The GB has not run for very long time and I suggest at least 1 more week. 1000 boards will probably not be enough and when the price drops further, ppl will probably up their order. At least I will make sure to have enough for future projects, myself. It would simply be too darft to need a couple of Tooleregs in 6 months😉
As this is a DIYA-community driven project, based on free voluntary work, please be patient. It takes time to do these things (I have used at least 60 hours etching, drilling and building various Tooleregs, untill now) Those hours are put in between ordinary work, family business and other real life stuff.

Steenoe, you contribution on this forums alone is amazing. I am just wonder, how some of you guys managing to balance between family time and this hobby. It's definitely time consuming.
