Can’t tell what the joke is. The Trent photo is from May, 1950. The negatives of the camera were examined and there was not any “trial shots” as you might expect from an attempted hoaxer. What one sees is multiple photographs taken by witnesses of a UFO who were denied access to their own film for a number of years after turning it over to authorities. The profile of the Trent couple is devoid of crankery and they never sought to cash in on the photography. Even the Condon Committee included it on their shortlist of “possible” evidence.
But yes, obviously BS because UFO photos are supposed to be of horrible quality.
Yes, there were two photos carefully examined by multiple entities and concluded to be hoaky. But 1950 was a long time ago. Is there not yet one verifiable pic to put this controversy to rest? Just one lonely pic is all I ask for. One nice clear, and yes, 'color' photo of a good close up where I can see the whites of (or whatever color) their eyes through the windows. Is that too much to ask?? After all this time? Just one measly pic for pic's sake!

So you're resting your case on a couple of old B&W pics taken by a farmer in 1950 as verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial beings visiting our little blue marble? Seriously?🙂

I don’t advocate any hypothesis for the UFO phenomenon, especially one as loaded as ET visitations.
I think the Trent photos are genuine and that there is a real phenomenon.
The value of old photographic evidence is in maintaining that this is not some modern phenomenon that can be explained away as drones from a foreign country or advanced military tech. It may be that way currently but not historically.

Um, the modern phenomenon tech is the photo itself. Okay, let's verify the old ones with nice clear current photos then. Where are they? I mean the clear drone pics? You know, the myriad ones taken by the millions of smart phones and oh, the ones the military forgot to take before declaring seeing UFOs everyday for two years straight. They must be hiding a warehouse full by now.

You can narrow your scope to claims made in the last five years but that does not constitute the whole of the phenomenon, nor is it a narrative I would argue in favor of.

At least that was the theme of a Twilight Zone remake episode in which the ET came to punish us and the world leaders decided to stop fighting and achieve a world peace once and for all. Then the ET brought the whole fleet of spaceships to annihilate humans because we were bred by them to be vicious fighters but we have not been vicious enough. So it was a wipe and redo for the ET. 
So dinosaurs were on earth for 165 million years. And we are here if we include ancestors for about 6 million. With the rate of population growth we are facing we are well over what earth can handle so we are doing quite a good job at self distruct.

Life evolved relatively quickly here on Earth once the conditions were right.
However while life has been around for at least 3.7 billion years multicellular only came about during the Cambrian Explosion 541 million years ago so that is 3.2 billion years with nothing but single cell life forms.
It took another 539 million years for our human ancestors to come about and meaningful technology (in terms of potential space travel) has only been around for 100 years.
Granted that is using the only known example ie us but the numbers do not look good for other advanced civilizations to exist anywhere.

But given the relative speed at which life appeared on our planet once the condition allowed would indicate that life isn't difficult to come by and there is no reason to believe that it only happened once.

It is possible that our giant moon is very unusual, apart from the axis stabilisation effects, the impact that formed it may well have removed "just enough" atmosphere and water. The Earths oceans and atmosphere are incredibly thin.
Its thought the moon was originally a small planet that collided with Earth.
