I don't think you have to populate c4 and c5. They are left out on purpose as other capacitors were upgraded if I remember right. All for the benefit of SQ 🙂Hi
What type and size capacitor do I use in c4 & c5?

Well thats easy then thanks.
Ive finished building my copper box, just need to fit all the inner bits.
Copper box... sounds serious 😉 Makes me think of Japanese highend stuff from the good old days 🙂...Ive finished building my copper box...

Oh, I think you'll be seriously disappointed then. My stuff looks more like something you'd find at the tip 😉.
Have to wait. Will put up some photos when its finished. It wont quite look like anything you have seen before.
Sounds even better 🙂... It wont quite look like anything you have seen before.
For the frontpanel - Please look here.... http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/vend...d-display-diy-audio-projects.html#post4409288
All finished.
Thanks Sonny for such a great sounding amp.

Oh me, oh my.... What an incredible enclosure... Are we talking 18th or 19th century here? By far the most creatively executed amp enclosure I have ever seen. Looks really nice and tidy inside too. Congrats 🙂All finished.
Thanks Sonny for such a great sounding amp.

Cool .. Very cool! 😀
Thanks guys. Im pretty happy with the way it turned out, kinda make it up as I go. Made shades for the LED's and tude so at night time there not so bright.
It gave me something to do while I waited for the kit to get here and such a good amp deserves a nice box.

It will be available shortly.
We will receive the frontpanel today.
The preamp will arrive by the end of this month.

Hello
Rogerchou.
I would but i have redesignet the frontend today.
The frontend did have 12dB gain. It is not reduced to 0dB and the attenuator is changed to -80 to +12dB instead of -90 to 0dB.
I was a bit worried that an MM pickup would be able to hit the voltage Limit.
The MM pickup phono stage has 40dB gain. The attached is the riaa curve of the phono stage. It is a two stage design as i do not want to overload the frontend.
The gain is not ~59dB but 40dB. But the deviation fits.
The overload performance is 84mVrms@1KHz.
The opamps has jfet inputs and resistors is in worst case 10K. So noiselevel will be low. Capacitors are 330nF, 100nF and 10nF. AC coupling capacitor is polymer.. Same type as in the AK4490 DAC and the TSSA V4/V8 amp.
