Hi, I don't understand how I can use the graph to simulate a normal DC coupled follower cathode.
I don't have Ra, I only have Rk.
A little help?
Thanks

obviously, this is only common cathode.......
what do you want anyway to simulate on follower....🙄🙄🙄 it just follows the signal....

@TasooTaso
in that case you need another tool.
@hpeter
the follower follows the same way the amplifier stage amplifies: it's not that easy.

I recommend learning how the cathode follower works. Then you can apply that to this simulation tool and get the information you need to predict how a particular tube will work as a cathode follower.
AC-coupled Cathode Follower
The Valve Wizard -Cathode Follower
DC-coupled Cathode Follower
The Valve Wizard
I hope that helps.

hi,
i hope you are well,
any chance adding load lines for kt120 ultra linear ?
thank you.
happy new year!
But such extended version of the program already exists I wrote about it:
Tube Loadline Simulator v.1.0 (20140909 www.trioda.com)
Moreover it allows to calculate Korens' model parameters using the measurement results of a specific tube.

the characteristics of GM70 do not coincide with reality at all.🙁
I compare them with loadmatch-1-SE-triodes
And indeed, the Gm-70 in the simulator are far, far off. How can this be fixed ?
Can you check the 845 as well, please ?
If I use your simulator, I get at 1050V/70mA/10k4 impedance only 23W at 5,6% Distortion. Other simulators and website come to 25W and 3% distortion. This is quiet a difference and irritates me a lot...

Is this still active?
gsmok, are you still working on adding new tubes? If not, perhaps post a statement to that effect so people don't keep making requests.
This is not a complaint, I am very grateful. Just asking for clarification.

I have some other activities now. Hopefully in August I will start adding new tubes to the database hosted by the program.
Very nice work! Really appreciated! Would it be possible to add triode mode for KT 120, 150 and 170? Great many thanks!
Hello gsmok, Thanks so much for creating this tool. Can you add the tube e280f in triode mode?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Nice program and interesting to watch the THD change with small signal triodes over operational conditions.I have some other activities now. Hopefully in August I will start adding new tubes to the database hosted by the program.
I would love to see the ability for a user to upload their own utracer files and then work with them.
Could really extend the usefulness of your program and may even help get you off the "new tube please" tread mill.
As well in my experience sample to sample variations of tubes is significant over time and brands and so using data from actual samples on hand improves the relevance of simulation results to later realized real world performance.
I find it very helpful to check simulations using tube models created from aged tubes to see how robust a design is as the tubes collect hours of use and weaken.
The growing and happy community of utracer users like myself would thank you for the ability to use our own utracer created data files.
Take care and thank you for your contribution.
