On another board, yes. This board has all Wima caps on output filter, TDK 250v .22uf X7R, 330uf 25v Panasonic hybrid electrolytics, 36db gain setting, 2.2uf input caps.
has anyone successfuly use the mute function on the blue board?

Very straightforward. Bend the leads until they are in the position you want and make sure there is plenty of room for them. They are mpt delicate. Only took a few minutes.
I'm travelling right now so can't provide a schematic (yet). As I said I've done this to the TPA3110D2 board but I believe the process should be pretty much the same with the TPA3116 boards.
- select a suitable input transformer (ideally chosen to suit the amp input impedance, which depends on that gain setting of a particular implementation, but I think is typically 30Kohm for 26db gain. Alternatively just grab any old 600ohm isolation transformer as this will prove the solution works as required)
- check the datasheet for the specific amp chip. Identify the + and - input pins for each channel. These are usually biased at +3V and shown on the application diagram with 1uf input coupling caps.
- connect the primary side of the transformer to the balanced or unbalanced source (both are possible)
- remove the 4x input coupling caps on the amp board (+& - for each channel) and connect the transformer secondaries to the pcb pads previously used by the coupling caps and connected to amp input pins (one transformer secondary connects to + & - of one channel).
- experiment with ground connections between source and amp board (connection or disconnection may provide lowest noise - hard to predict)
I'll take photos in a week or two after my TPA3116 board arrives.
I promised to show where input transformers connect to the Sure TPA3110D2 board. Sorry for the delay. I'll follow up with a photo highlighting the equivalent connections on the Audiobah TPA3116 board.

Thanks - sounds simple. Currently I am using some Würth coils - but the CC have been available as samples - so why not giving them a try? The Würth are some serious upgrade to the original ones, though.
I was so happy with my first Ybdz green board that i ordered a second one. The second one is almost the same but actually blue and with some other components as well. I am sorry to say the second board doesn't sound as good as the green one. ( Dull highs and less impressive lows ). So i keep waiting for a another good board ( preferably with ferrite beads ) If anyone knows of a board bettering the sure 3110 i would like to know.

Check your resistor gain settings because it may not be the original 36 dB but 26 dB so the lower gain (if driven by equivalent source) will sound duller on highs and bass. On my blue board, the gain is 26 dB and not 36 dB.

KJA and I both tried wurth, don't remember which, and found the bourns to sound better...

Standard sure3110 = 26dB, and now to add a little noise

From PrimareCD to 20k lin pot to standard sure3110 sounds dull, undynamic, bassshy for me.
Same source and pot, sure3110 in 20dB gain setting with wima mks 1uF input caps and KZ 330uF elco's, to me sounds really open and clear, dynamic and does have plenty of bass LOL
I can't compare just the gainsetting with all other factors unchanged unfortunately. But the differences discribed can also be found in elco's and input caps I can tell, (even) combined with lower gainsetting

Not to challenge you or anything like that, just curious why with the higher gain the amp seemed to sound better? Could it be that the lower input impedance is affecting the frequency response? Can anyone rationalizes this "observation"?

May be you can enquire with the seller from which you got the boards. There are pins on the board for those purpose. I will explore connecting the mute pin to ground and see whether it would work.
