Has the Wolverine team considered offering a soft start board for linear power supplies?
Or do they have a recommended one?
Or do they have a recommended one?
Hi Guy's,
I have attached a preliminary 64v rail schematic for the Wolverine V5.0 to the first post.
The schematic is complete however we may just add some extra notation as we work through the final release builds and reviews from the Wolverine Team.
A big thanks goes out to @Harry3 for developing the BOM and @Mainframe for his though checking, suggestions and creating the mouser carts.

Anyone planning on using the Cobra S2 with this? What voltage would be the sweet spot for this smps?
Hi Guy's,
Exciting news! The Wolverine V5 boards have landed with @Mainframe! These boards are our test builds to ensure everything is 100% spot-on and verified before we place the bulk order for the 5th Group Buy. The final group buy boards will feature a premium gold ENIG finish, giving them a stunning look and enhanced durability.
A huge thank you to @Mainframe for capturing these images so promptly—check out the photos in the 1st post to see the V5 boards! Stay tuned for updates on the verification process in the Wolverine Build Thread as we confirm these boards are ready to rock.
A big thanks to the Wolverine Team and to all of you for keeping this project thriving!
Best regards,
Stuart (stuartmp)

Have used cobra s2 with my ef3-4 build at 74vdc. Works perfectly.Anyone planning on using the Cobra S2 with this? What voltage would be the sweet spot for this smps?
Question on the rectifier board. Does it have spots to place snubbers if we are planning to use the Quasimodo?
I used the H9KPXG designed by Mark Johnson that also has a provision for a low voltage on off switch if you are going to install one on the front of your amp. @birdbox has some for sale with parts in the swap meet.Has the Wolverine team considered offering a soft start board for linear power supplies?

Yes, Cx, Rs & Cs
I'm just looking at ease of build and reducing the amount of boards I'm using i.e no soft start or auxiliary supply transformers.Have used cobra s2 with my ef3-4 build at 74vdc. Works perfectly.
Using 63v smps what power can I expect the Wolverine to make?
@Chrisr3521
See this chart linked below (assume Cobra S2 = 1200VA or so):

I have a Cobra S2 delivering +-70V DC and I am planning to use it with the V5 EF3-5.Anyone planning on using the Cobra S2 with this? What voltage would be the sweet spot for this smps?
V5 is alive!
The first EF3-4 V5 mirrored stereo set has received full voltage and biased up like a dream. Excuse the workshop dust, cat hair and solder flux on the output transistors it was getting late!
Passed all initial power up and warm up tests no issues at all. Huge thanks to the team for putting together, and meticulous QA, of the schematic and PCB and BOM @stuartmp @danieljw @Harry3 @jjs so that when I powered it up (very cautiously) it didn't splode or smoke. EF3-3 and EF3-5 builds to follow.

Excellent!
One thing I really like is how the output transistors are spaced out to avoid concentrating heat in one area of the heat sink.
Very nice job guys!
