would you be open to group buy pricing if enough of us were interested in your design?
Hi, Thanks for your interest.
I think yes. will be available while the standard version of the DPS-600 in shop.
just the time that OPC can do testing on this amp, I think a dedicated version. would be better with the AUX 70v filtered but unregulate. This would allow faster customization for me, and after, everyone can choose to use voltage regulators.
P.S.
I will make an agreement with OPC on this via PM.
Owen/AP2:
Has any progress been made regarding testing the SMPS? I'd like to order at least one DPS-600 soon to make sure I've got it when the time comes to power up my amps.
If a group buy eventuates, will we have to choose one voltage for everyone? Would say, 50v be a good compromise?

I not have ear Opc about this. I think that 50-60V or two version is possible. (max voltage output of DPS-600 is +/-72V at power DC)

I'm guessing he has a lot on his plate at the moment to say the least.
I'd happily volunteer myself to do the testing, but I'm not sure me and my $20 DMM will give the kind of measurements you guys are after.... 😛

Wow! ..reason that all smps are good..... 😛
closed i think, the headamp GB is at least. could be wrong he did get more pcbs than initially thought
Hi Guys,
I have performed round one of measurements for this, but now it's tweaking time and that will take a little bit more effort to finish up.
I am confident in the PCB, however, so I'll be starting to accept payments for PCB only orders this evening, and I'll pack/ship this weekend.
I will send a PM to everyone with just boards that contains the payment info. Please follow it very carefully as there are a lot of people involved and messy payments can make life very difficult!
If you don't get a PM, please don't send payments! This will allow me to stagger things and keep it all organized.
As for the GB (Group Buy) it is indeed still open, but only for the amplifier PCB and kits. There are no PSU boards left. If you are interested, just post your order here as usual!
I also have a very important note here after testing:
SEVERAL OF THE VALUES ON THE ORIGINAL SCHEMATIC ARE NOT CORRECT, SO DO NOT BUY PARTS BASED ON THAT SCHEMATIC!!!!
One of the part values was completely wrong (typo) and some of the others have been tweaked. If you ordered just boards, please hold off on buying parts until I get an updated schematic posted. I'm working on a Wiki for the amplifier that will contain detailed info about what parts to use.
Cheers!

Owen, do you think this amp will in some circumstances need an output coil or is the LME49830 resilient to, or unaffected by, capacitive / reactive loads? And would such a load have any effect on the 'negative' input, or the source of that input, if using the amp in balanced input mode?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Will take 4 kits and 4 extra sets of output transistors please 🙂
Your hard work is much appreciated Owen. I'm really glad I'm participating in several of your GBs.
sent you a late email mate, sorry for the delay. i tell you what your wire measurements (SE-SE headamp) are getting a bit of attention over at the other place =)
Hi Guys,
Please find attached an updated list with all orders to date. The amplifier orders are the first three columns the rest are for the headphone amplifiers. I've conjoined the lists to make it easier for me to ship all items in one package.
Cheers,
Owen

Hi Owen
Just to clarify - '4' in the FET column means 4 pairs (4N and 4P), correct? If so, mine is fine 🙂
