I'm using BBB version C, with Volumio2.
The botic "driver" lets me output right justified I2S for my DDDAC1794.
Do you need the precise Volumio version ? It's not supported anymore for BBB, so it's an old build
So, if I understand, do you need both input and output right justified?
@G600 I guess input in right justified on the fifo is not that important, you should be able to select i2s output pretty easy on the BBB if I’m not mistaken
I feed the DDDAC without the mainboard, so it has to receive right justified i2s.
The BBB is very easily configure one way or another.
It would be a big hit if the FIFO is able to input and output right justified i2s, or input regular i2s and output right justified (to connect other i2s sources).

Ok, clear.
I don't know if we succed implementing it in the first firmware release but we will include both input and output right justified I2S.

I attach some pictures of the RPI standalone source, it implements the TWSAFB-RPI power supply and I2S isolated output and the TWSAFB-TX I2S over HDMI LVDS transmitter.
The source is controlled by the touch screen, 1TB SSD has been installed to store the music.
Hi Andrea,
Is this a custom case for the rpi?
Hi Andrea,
I would like to let you know that I finally was able to iimplement your twasfb-rpi with the i2s transmitter and i2s receiver and its one hell of an upgrade… i was Able to separate the rpi from ians fifopi and its as big an improvement as when the drixo clocks were installed..
Its very vital that the rpi was separated from the fifo stack.. its like digital glare vanished.. separation, tones, prat are very much improved.. sounds more natural.. getting closer to analog..
Greatly appreciated. I think my digital setup is finished.. time to build a case..
Thanks again

Hi Jim,
Heres some pics, drixos not connected as of this time. Looking for a way to secure the sx and dx boards securely to the fifo.
Excuse the quality of the pics.. too lazy to take it out of the rack to take better pictures

Great thankyou. So you transmit the i2s via hdmi over to the dac section.? I assume this is a way of sending i2s over long distances.? To seperate the Rpi stack.

Just a tip, connect the Crystal with two very thin wires (from a strand or so) in stead of the sturdy wires you have now. It is also shown in the manual from Andrea.

Hello everyone!
thanks to the proximity in km, I was finally lucky enough to borrow @andreamori's fifo !!!
I would like to try to do a listening review, even if translation will not be easy.
I state that I bought a lot of @Ian material, something like 20 fifopi, 10-15 dac and a lot of other material, so I have great respect for the work done by @Ian.
the chain is composed as follows:
raspberry pi4 with drixo 25mhz (lan section) and crysteck 54mhz with ropieee and Roon,
fifo lite,
tda1541a with @basesik output transformers,
drixo 5/6 oscillators.
all r-core transformers and inductive shunt power supplies.
from the first notes you immediately understand that we are talking about something of a high level, compared to the fifopi is superior on every aspect of the sound, the things that strike most are, the depth and focus of the bass, the sound planes are wider, the organ is deeper and higher in the dinner, the cheers come further than the speakers that seem to be in the audience. all the instruments have a precise position, which usually precision is synonymous with a tighter, smaller sound, instead here it is precise and detailed but more analog and harmonic. I would say it's all more true !!! pure realism.
the dynamics ... impressive !!
I also did various tests on dither, which also makes a big difference when listening to 24bit files. I much preferred 2-lsb Triangle, but each step feels differences.
instead for the 16bit I obviously preferred to switch off the dither. the programming from the fifo pc is also very comfortable, everything works perfectly with customization of the settings for each source.
I also add some personal observations after having it in hand: I have no idea of the price, but with a single card we have about everything, oscillator squarer and diverter, 4 i2s inputs, various and modifiable outputs for each dac, tda1541a in pcm, dual tda1541, pcm for various dac, i2s for various dac, etc. I can't wait to have the r2r dac in my hands as well.
I thank Andrea Mori for the availability and kindness of letting me feel his fear.
ask if we have some questions.
regards

Amazing. Please pass on my regards to Andrea. You may want to edit your @ tag as the one you have used isn't Ian Canada!
But you have an amazing system. Would love to hear it. I still have some of Andreas clocks to implement into my system. He is a great guy to deal with . A travesty he is no longer here.
