The Very Best Amplifier I Have Ever Heard!!!!

type of white ?

Dunno, it's been a quarter of a century ago when i saw these Goldmund models from up close on the inside and out.
Maybe more a plastic, nylon or something, i'm no expert in GM stuff. On pictures, the white washers have a compressed appearance, rounded edges/sides, as a rubbery material would.

A block of epoxy resin is also a sub-chassis.

The mechanical grounding of Goldmund has been a step by step evolution, is my notion. In the JOB models as e.g. Mimesis 28 & 29, GM went back to plain rubber feet.

(Sakis is my hard drug dealer. Yesterday, the land lord started talk about a week Cyprus, then said Greece was also on the agenda. So, i just have to slip Nea Makri in casually at the right moment)

A "leg" close-up, from the Mimesis 18 on that Japanese site =>

Example of (aluminum) sub-chassis that i use.

For mounting, i use damped stand-off's, several sources to buy these, see examples.
Often even for NOS clearance prices, e.g. the 50 cent red ones.

😛😛😛well Nick .... you may use also a bucket of oil and soak the amplifier inside ..... try something like 20-50 pure engine oil ....of course one thing is a must and its called feathers and grease

of course the grease will make your sound ...slippery soft and mild .....😛😛😛

now ... beyond jokes i admire Nick for his passion about details and perfection ... ( we are exchanging phone calls over a year now discussing details about his amp ) come to thing about it may Greeks in the forum don't produce much what ever is done though ...is really nice made ...names like Salas ... Fotios are real legends in my eyes

Hei Jacco .... your invitation for Greece is always open .... get our shelf a ticket , get your shelf a couple of liters of kip sate sauce , and i will take care of all the rest ( including the Heineken deal for 500lt of juice )

happy regards

OK , I've got that amp from Apoopoo999 to finish and see what all the fuss is about. Can somebody please point to the schematic of REV 3.9 ? Maybe there is sum up of assembly /trouble shooting procedure? I don't want to wander trough 1000s of posts ;( Vincent bought BUZ906 /BUZ901 output transistors and specified 2x40V AC . Can 2x58V be used (spoted a nice pair on Swap meet today. Thanks L

I have taken a quick look at the pictures on the amp apoopoo99 has laid out, and you have purchased.
First, I would recommend you to place PCB differently than the photo shows. With the FETs mounted like the picture shows, you will have to use some long wires from the PCB and to the FETs. This will strongly increase the risk that the amplifier will be unstable. USE an alu L !!!

You can use both a 2x40 V and a 2x58 V (AC) transformers. In one of the earlier posts Nagy has answered that question. Be awared if you use a 2x58 transformer that all ellyts can stand the high voltage (100 V DC).

Notice that the information from apoopoo99 abot a need for a separate transformer for the security stage is wrong.

Yes, this is a very long thread, but filled with very much good information from those that have already built this amplifier. Here you will also find the schematic among the first posts.

Good luck, you are welcome to ask.
