I'm going with screw connectors, at least until I get everything settled. I expect I'll just end up using them forever though.

I've got pots at R12 and R13, but they ended up being ~955ohm and ~63k ohm for 1A bias and 50% AC-gain.
Make sure the gate stopper (221R resistors) are soldered to the mosfet's gate pin.Final setup

Will do thanks (was already planned)
Dish of the day was:
Drilling, tapping, cutting and filling
Everything in place for the final rehearsal.
Still not sure about the balanced input... (will use Aleph 1.7)
Decided to go with connectors for the wire connections so have to wait a few more days for parts to arrive (Ria Connectors system)
It gives me time to drill the top cover and wire the power supply.

The Heatsink is 300x100x40
Have seen builds here from F5 and mini A with way less heatsink but I know more is better.
Now I'm mad, my order for the connectors was canceled due to Brexit the supplier (Reichelt (Germany)) will not supply to Britain because of that...
Dear customer,
thank you very much for your order.
Unfortunately, at this time we can't make any statement about the final decision on the tax or delivery conditions to the UK.
We can therefore not process your order at this time.
As soon as there are clear guidelines, we will open our online store again for sales to the UK.
Please send us your order again then if necessary.
Thank you for your understanding.

I think its fair to remember that what's worth 40 watts in Florida, might be worth 50 in GB. Different environs..
i forgot to mention... i can't believe this thread is 19 years old.
I remember when it was posted - miss GRollins and his Epic Musings!

It may be but over here in the UK the summer only last a week and temp wise it's not even close to the ones in Florida.
19 years ?
What happened to the proud father (GRollins) ?
that looks like the absolute minimum Heat Sink size...
Mine are 250x180x40 (mm). They are just luke warm. But then my PS voltage is also somewhat too low (+/-16V)
How far will mine go with a 12/0/12Vac transformer ?
That is what I have.
The other question is what current you are going to use to toast your power mosfets. I can't remember mine unfortunately but it was not too low (my speakers are less than 8ohm so I more current than voltage).
Sorry Gregje I was been sarcastic I was aiming to 15Vdc from the day I started the enclosure 10 years ago.
Going to try with the stock value (750 ohm) to start with and go from there and of course checking the sinks temp according to Papa method (hand on sink).

@RS232 - you can always rig a trimmer into the R13 position and find your sweet spot without changing resistors
Another hard day on my rap sheet, it's not easy to be confined to the house, not working and not doing my thing (mountain biking) it's screwing my head really bad...
I know about the trim pot "mod" on R12 and R13 but I thought it was R12 the one responsible for the bias and will have to check the schematic once more.
On top of that my order was canceled and I hate when I plan and decide on something and things go down hill on no fault of mine.
Done absolutely nothing on the Mini today...
Ps: just noticed, who is going to make the post 1000 ?
