Thats nothing to laugh about😀 Should be just the thing for an old hippie like you (and me!!) If you need more details about Led Zep, just let me know😀 Besides that Robert Plant actually dated Allanah Myles for some time, I might have some goodies for you!!
(Allanah is one hot chick.....)

She certainly was. She's got a manlier voice than plant though.. just imagine the confusion their neighbours had..

black velvet is probably the only one she's known for. I don't remember any others from her being overplayed.
She certainly is, I would say😉 Alanah is one of a few selected women that grows prettier every year😉She certainly was

He-he.... Robert Plant was the "Anchorman" on "Black Velvet" Personally I am not that surprised that the album hit the market that strong😀 Plant knows his craft!! Being in love with the chick even spurred him further😉She certainly was.

Yep I know that canadians are supposed to be quite healthy😀 😀 I also know that the folks from Crete are the healthiest people on the planet😀 😀 They say its because of the tremendous amount of olive oil they consume every year!!Canadian you know... I can sell you some of the water

But of course. You didn't think I like anything with Ronnie James Dio now, did you? What have I ever written to give you that idea? Was it "70s Rock Must Die"? 😉
There were many bands that did heavy stuff in the 1968. Most aren't very well known, like Blue Cheer, for example. Earlier there were bands like The Who and Kinks, often credited with being the originator of the power cord. And, of course, there's Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix has been dead since forever, yet he's music is more alive than anything else done since. I almost forgot Dick Dale. Hendrix played bass when he first heard Dick Dale. The rest, as they say, is history.
Doh!
"There were many bands that did heavy stuff in the 1968" should of course be "... in the 1960s."

What happened to this thread? It turned from talking about an awesome form of music to Allanah Myles.
Anyone stopping you from bringing back the Metal aspect?😀 Agreed, that the Myles-thing got too much mentioning in this thread😉 Sorry 'bout that. Whatever, the fact that Led Zeppelin started the heavy rock-genre was stated ,(and with good reason, if you ask me) The heavy Guitar-rock was their thing. It's even good today. Take a good listen to "Dazed and Confused" for one, something like that was never heard of before, when their first album came out.It turned from talking about an awesome form of music to Allanah Myles.

I just adore their music;as I stated before-"The song remains the same " is so childish that even worlds greatest Zepp fan (aka Choky or ZM) wanna puke............but when Zepp is in case-I learned one important lesson-close your eyes, sometimes even don't listen to the words, but listen and feel those sounds and harmonies

So do I🙂 Listening to those guitar riff's of Jimmy Page's that are like 30 years old!!!!!I just adore their music;
Makes me think that the rock-scene hasnt moved that far by now😀 Whatever, many rock bands use the sound that Led Zep invented some 30 years ago!!

Is this metal enough?
PHN, I must have been late! Any chance for sending it to my mail?
Steen🙂
Steen, you've got mail.
Did anyone mention Meshuggah? Meshuggah has to be THE metal band for this forum--for nerds, that is. Their music is very complex and often based on math. For those that want more avant-garde stuff, Fredrik Thordendal (of Meshuggah)'s Special Defects: Sol Niger Within, Version 3.33 mixes metal with jazz and fusion.
Edit: When you name your band Fredrik Thordendal you know its fan-base is people who are serious about their music. If you want to reach the fanboys, you name your band I Spit On Your Grave, or something equally catchy. There is/was actually a band with that name, taken from a movie originally titled Day of the Woman, which did poorly at the theaters until they re-released it under its now more famous title. Gee wiz. The original title for The Matrix was Neo and the Ruby Slippers, I'm told. For reasons unknown, it didn't catch on.
