Warning: Hijack!

70s Rock Must Die is the title of Lard's last album. I'm sure Jello Biafra refers to arena rock and the concept of super groups like ELP. In the 80s the arenas were taken over by the likes of Def Leppard, Europe, Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar and, for all the wrong reasons, Bruce Springsteen. (Most of the people that loved Bruce in the Born in the USA days are burning his and Dixie Chicks' albums today. Here are the lyrics for the song the Republican Party wanted to use for their convention!) Today the arenas have been taken over by country artists.

Metallica before the "Black" should fit your bill🙂 On "Justice for all" Even the "nice song" "One" is so pretty acid"like", that even I like it😎 There has been a lot of controversy about Metallica, but I tend to like them. They have like a foundation of "Rock-music" and, all their albums are pretty great stuff, at least to my ears😀

but you need more efficient spks for that kind of musaaaaak
hehe

Metallica..... pppshaaaaw.... posers!

Seen em live twice, likely wouldnt' be around today were it not for thy oldness.

Black album sucked, it's good, but they weren't metallica anymore.

The two loads after .... well.... let's just say they took quite some time to acquire the taste of, and of course, the end of the denial period... acceptance that they just weren't the same anymore.

Their Latest ... pathetic attempt. Some of it's damn good though. Yep.. they suck, and I'll be a fan until the day I die, maybe longer.

I sure laughed at that touchy feely movie they released.....maaaaan... oh yeah if you didn't want to slap Lars before.. well, you sure do when you see that. It really makes you want to laugh ... if it weren't so pathetic.

By the way.. New MotorHead!!!! Nnnnnnnnot bad at all! Same ol sound, good as ever.

Cheers

Funny that you bring up Led Zeppelin. They are my favourite band ever since 1974 when I teamed up in the row to get Led Zep 4!! I dont want to go to extremes, but Led Zep just started the whole thing about heavy rock🙂 Jimmy Paige and Robert Plant were way beyond their time😀 😀 Okay one more statement that I really mean: Robert Plant has the greatest voice ever heard in rock music!! Dont even doubt that fact🙂

even if Plant is my most favorite rock singer, you forget Paul Rogers (Baaaaad boy...) Coverdale,Dio,and especially Atomic Ruster's and Colosseum's (wtf is his name,I have no any LP or CD near me ).......BINGO_Chris Farlow_!!
trust me-we (Serbians and Croatians -somewhere in time one country ) have few extrabloodyordinary singers-just to name it- Dado Topic,Boris from Smak etc........

I personally always prefer those types as Paul and Chris (even if they are similar and not hehe) ,and Plant was mostly screamer in Zepp era........even if I like them sssssssssssssooooooooo much-I realize that in my not so youthful dayz.......

Zep 1 and 2 are masterpieces. But Zep wasn't the first heavy band. Other bands are MC5 and the Stooges--love that Motown sound. And Black Sabbath came the following year.

Edit: Lemmy of Motorhead has the greatest voice in rock.

Countdown to extinction is a hall of famer classic, every single song!!

Sabbath was only good when Ozzy was a member.

Let's face it...... Bruce Dickingson ... couldn't have fit the genre any better.

UP THE IRONS!

I also appreciate good lyrics, and theirs are on the virge of poetry.

I plagerized one of their songs for a tenth grade english assignment in creative writing, mixed in with a little sabbath... 98% or something, with a special compliment from a teacher who loathed me .... snicker.

Zep 1 and 2 are masterpieces. Yep, you are right about that. Led Zeppelin 3 and 4 were also!!But Zep wasn't the first heavy band
I still think they were🙂 Led Zep 1 was made in 1968 before any of the other rockbands evolved! I admit that Black Sabbath was out pretty early also, but to my knowledge not before 1969😀 By the way, here is a picture of my first editions Led Zeppelin 1 and 2 album's😀 They are as good as new!! I have them on CD's also!! Dont even ask if I want to sell😀 😀 By the way, the best selling single ever was "Stairways to heaven" from Led Zeppelin 4!! It hit # 1 in the US way longer than anyone else did!!

are those blue ray? weird lookin
Doooh:smash: :smash: Those are plain Vinyl's😀 😀 Cant beleive I had to say that😀 😀 Okay, here you go with a little more Led Zeppelin info (always good to know, you know)) Take a look at this piccie! Led Zeppelin 1-4 CD's with the 5'er Coda after that. Coda wasnt too well received, with good reason. The first 4 albums were way better!! The 6'th album on the pic is Best of Led Zeppelin Remastered digitally by Jimmi Page himself!! Next is a Jimmi Page solo album from 1988., It didnt get the ravest rewievs but it contained a few great blues track's indeed!! Just listen to Hummingbird and Prison blues!!!! The last one is actually with Robert Plant on the vocals😀 😀 I guess thats the closest you will ever get to a Led Zeppelin Re-unite😉
The last and lowermost of the CD's on the pic is those famous Live tracks with Led Zeppelin🙂 Everyone thought those recordings were lost, but in 2003 they suddenly showed up! The tapes contained the absolute best live recording with Led Zeppelin!! We were drewling, to say the least!! Jimmi Page wasnt late to get them digitized and released!!!! With good cause, this is a very important footage of the most important rockband on this planet!! If you get the chance to have the DVD's, dont pass it on!! Ofcourse I have both the live DVD's and the Live CD's.......
