I've been intrigued ever since someone suggested a star-shaped supraBaffle. So to get an idea...
and with some quick texture mapping

Those look cool Dave, I love the curved side's now at the back, and the star baffle although it looks like it would be hard to make adds an interesting look to the apperance. Dave🙂
That looks really cool with the star baffle (wonder if it would improve the sound?). Unless you have a lot of patience, it looks like it would be easier to make with a CNC machine. Then again, what wouldn't be easier to make with a CNC machine

Either a CNC machine or a totem pole carver. We have our first similar piece at the CNC guys now (a retrofit baffle in solid walnut to convert the set of Bamboo PAWOs to FE127.
One of the ideas with the star was to encourage people to get creative....
The curved back, and the cutouts really work hard to define this as a horn and not a boring rectangular box. Even in a minimal state of options....

IMHO, the above rendition with the integral baffle is the pick of the litter (so far). My wife says 🙂
I've been playing with something similar to John in CR's "Tombstones".

Very Nice Dave. Very Nice. [/B]
Nice drawings, Dave![]()

Bits from a Vectorworks drawing exported as EPS. imported into Alias Sketch, turned into a model, rendered, composited in PhotoShop and exported as web documents. The texture mapping is a bit crude but it gets the idea across.
dave
If that's crude... (gulp)
I can't use any CAD program to save my life, let alone a rendering package. I have to stick with pencil and squared paper.

The plans for alpha 1.4.0 are available now. Please let me know about any glitches.

Dave, as always beautiful plans. But , clicking on the images didn't really do much. Making them large enough to read in my browser made them unreadable..

Re: gliches...
You aren't downloading the pdf and reading it in Acrobat or Preview?
I checked in Safari which i have set up to show pdfs in a browser window it was fine... i could zoom as much as need. All the graphics (except for the render on page 1) are vector images & will scale infinitly. (pdf saved out of Acrobat 6).
What browser are you using? Sounds like it storing a bitmap of the image and scaling that instead of the pdf.

Are you trying to blow up the thumnails at the bottom of the page?

Works fine here with Firefox on PC and Safari on Mac. Don't click on the pics, click on the link! 😉
