Yep ! ..... : )All good Hits, and despite my age I am not too old to learn, though I still disagree (it has to do with the temperature of the butter, no?). Perhaps I will revisit your technique someday. Maybe we have different ideas about what a "perfect" grilled/gridled sandwich looks like.
My wife thinks my ' grilled cheesies '
are the best in the known universe .
That ' s what counts for me .
I make grilled cheese sandwiches by putting mayo on the inside of the slices, and use two Kraft cheese slices. I also put pickled Jalapinos on one slice before merging the two together. I melt the butter on the skillet before placing the sandwich on it. I then spread butter on the top side and let it warm as the sandwich cooks, spreading the butter before flipping it.
I had the unique situation that colored margarine was illegal in WI so my parents would drive to the state line to buy it. Never could figure out how that was worth doing my grandmother always had a big block of the real stuff unsalted. .
When holidaying in France I always look forward to the first breafast baguette with unsalted butter. Silly think is in UK I never even consider buying unsalted desptite it being widely available. I think I have convinced myself it only tastes good in France!

Unless it's unsalted and preferably cultured I don't pay much attention. In fact salted butter always tastes off to me like some subtle chemical reaction has taken place. I'll stay out of the grilled cheese fight.🙂
Both our local Burger kings were destroyed in hurricane Michael.......I feel shame in missing my occasional whopper meal.
Is that the same thing?😀

The original pilsner - worlds first pale lager.
Also my favorite style, many yeas ago in Munich I had Hacker-Pschorr's version on tap it's not exported no idea if it is still the same in bottle.
One of my faves from outside of Canada.
+1
When I am in the mood for Pilsner, it has to be Urquell. The "reference" Pilsner.
I am a bit embarrassed that for my first 25 years of drinking it I pronounced it Erkell. It wasn't till 5 years ago did I learn it is correctly pronounced Erkwell. Never too old to learn.
I am not sure whether I will gain or lose respect for this but does anyone else eat peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches? For the first time I can remember, I have homemade of both. I haven't had one for maybe 20 years and I might just do that for lunch.
Ha!
I pronounce it Erkell and I am not embarrassed. Will probably continue doing so unless I find myself ordering one in Prague. Never too young to rebel. 🙂

Never tried PB and dill pickle. It always sounded gross to me when I was younger.
PB and thinly sliced Vidalia? Now you're talkin' !!!

Ya pregnant?
I’m gonna have one for lunch just for kicks! Will report back...
It does have a reputation as a prego food for sure and I may have learned about it from just such a person, I don't recall. I do remember introducing it to the kids in my neighbourhood and having it become rather popular. Sometimes to the delight of and sometimes to chagrin from the neighbourhood moms. (Back then, all moms were stay at home moms)
