That is absolute nonsense. The phytoestrogens have little to no effect on most people, a negative effect on a very few people, and a positive effect on a very few people.
Hahaha "moobs"

MA has made Everclear legal again as of a few months ago.![]()
I remember buying a bottle of Everclear in Skagway Alaska in 1981 for a friend. I don't think he ever forgave me.😀
Lamb's 151 with a dash of Coke was our regular dinner aperitif when I worked on the cruise ship.

Tofu (soy) contains enzymes.....which are oestrogen analogues.
You're almost making female heavy soy intakers interesting. Almost.
Single way I'm able to swallow tofu is by deepfrying thin slices, draining on paper, then marinating them.
(e.g. shoyu, sesame oil, garlic, chili pepper)
I've grown to like tofu. My wife is Japanese, so she knows how to make the most of it. I've heard about the estrogen thing and I actually suspect that the feminization of so many men in Japan is due to high tofu consumption. I simply balance my consumption of non-GMO tofu with adequate quantities of wild game meats.
No moobs yet. 🙂

That's one way to make Coke palatable 😛
Remember the original Orange Crush? With mint chocolate chip ice cream, made for a great float as served up at Mrs Frost's corner store (Oak Bay and Foul Bay Rd junction, circa '65)
As for the Tofu - there are dozens of ways to spark it up, but quinoa ain't one of them

Orange Crush always reminds me of Sports Day. Never had it with mint CC ice cream thou. I always liked Root Beer with vanilla ice cream as a float.

I have been buying the strawberry Crush's lately for a change of pace and they sure are yummy with certain foods.....mainly comfort food like pizza or popcorn.
tofu (including the fermented variety)
Yummy stuff, always have a big dab of the green kind with breakfast when in Asia.
The black stinking tofu is a good tester on friends who "will eat anything".
The meal may contain 'all the nutrition' but it won't necessarily deliver it to the body.
Tofu (soy) contains enzymes which stop the body from taking up vitamins and others (or may be the same) which are oestrogen analogues.
I have heard that one cup of soy milk has an effect on the male body similar to taking one birth-cotrol pill.
The labour-intensive traditional ways of making tofu and soy sauce break down some of those enzymes but modern, industrial processes do not.
Soy in any form should not be consumed regularly by anybody.
Cowpies. respectfully. I lived abroad for a year, ate that stuff all the time and never had a problem with my constitution. I was in the best shape of my life at that time. Hearsay is just what it is.
Well, we ate the last of the deer steaks last night, so it looks like we'll be having tofu quite a bit more often this summer. Although, I do have about 20 pounds of tougher deer meat which I will combine with about 20 pounds of pork and pork fat and bring to the local deli to have made into bratwurst and keilbasa. At ~$0.50 per pound, it is a no-brainer.
Hey, anyone have a BBQ smoker? What should I look for in a BBQ smoker?
I'll be smoking ribs, and some salmon I guess.

moobs.
LOL. 😉
Most people who eat a lot of tofu are mostly vegetarians. No way it's a major staple. I eat meat maybe 1x day, and did just fine with much less than that. You can do just fine without meat substitutes as long as you eat lotsa plants.
And poop a lot.
(not vegan)

A hot plate, a pie tin, wood chips, a PID, a box, a fan, oh and tape.
All you really need to smoke.
BBQ cooker - different animal.
For a proper float, I prefer Rodenbach Grand Cru with whole bean vanilla ice cream.
Leave out the dairy and I'm in. If you get to try one of the unblended rodenbach beers don't pass it up.
