Tonight we had a home made copy if a Yorkshire pudding pizza seen in a newspaper.
It was very nice apart from our new fan oven making the bases come out looking like edible dog baskets
Anyone have a design for a heat spreader for a fan oven?

I have looked at the manual briefly but will have a better look.
It looks like the fan is on all the time. It also runs for a while after switching off too.

Good work Nez. I hope it's not too soon to say this but your father would be proud, just like mine would have been. I will be raising a mug of something hoppy and malty thinking of him come kick off time.
Cheers friend.
The food was great. The salsa is excellent, plus guacamole and chipotle sour cream to go with the nachos. Half time chili, my usual beef + pork with small red beans, pinto beans, and black beans. Nothing out of a can. The best part was the chili powder I made with my home grown Maritime New Mexico peppers!
Then the Eagles won, so bonus.
Thanks for your thoughts re my dad.
If it's an electronic oven, it will have an on/off for the convection fan. If you hear a fan running after you turn the oven off, that is likely the fan that cools the control panel board. We have the same.I have looked at the manual briefly but will have a better look.

Every so often, someone at work will bring in a large quantity of some excellent pulled pork, I have probably eaten over a pound easy today.
Not a bad Monday so far.

The only setting without the fan id the radiant grille setting as far as I can see.If it's an electronic oven, it will have an on/off for the convection fan. If you hear a fan running after you turn the oven off, that is likely the fan that cools the control panel board. We have the same.
That seems unusual. There are many people who simply will not use convection for baking and that is well known, so why would they eliminate that group from their product? Something's still not right.
Just picked up a jumbo hot dog with tomato sauce from 24 hour fuel station.
Our Costcos sell all beef hot dogs with sauerkraut a guilty pleasure.
My daughter is currently working in a high-end pizza joint, and they also make Hero sandwiches. They make one called the Coney Island, using some locally produced "hot dog" sausage, with cheese, pizza tomato sauce, and other goodies. I tried one the other day, and I could easily become addicted to them.
I'm going to try Costco's soon.
Either Nathan's or Hebrew National were my favs,
but my tastes now want a little less salt.
( though none of these no nitrate jobs for me ) 🙂

Outside my cardiologist office there is a "weenie push-cart" -- I load up on the sodium after my annual visit.
I think they are Sabrett's.
Costco is perhaps the largest hot-dog vendor in the US. They are also the largest vendor of "rotisserie chicken" -- another good way to get your sodium.

100,000,000 dogs a year if you believe google. That might be worldwide though.
I hear you ain't lived until you've tried their poutine - but I'll take that on faith. I loves me their french fries and ketchup, but the thought of gravy and cheese curds on top just doesn't work for me.
I also understand they are also now the largest retailer of organic foods on the market - beating Whole Foods by at least 10% - a total of $4B over a year ago. But there is no separate section, so you do have to look for it.
I wonder if they have daily fresh sushi / sashimi in the Japan locations, or 'roo-burgers in 'straya?
