Does Goa maintain any Portugese contribution to the food? I've never been to Goa, but spent a week in Karnataka.
To the food I don't know. To music yes. Sonia Shirsat.Does Goa maintain any Portugese contribution to the food?

Yes, it has lot of portugese dishes and many are cooked daily in Goans' houses. If you go to some old high standard hotels, you will be surprized to see their original Portugese dishes.

Thanks for the pointers. I love Indian food and am always looking for good recipes. Last week I made a Mysore-style chicken biryani which was delicious, although I cheated and made it a one-pot dish rather than layering it and finishing in the oven.
only different

Made corn bread muffins the other day. We don't eat a lot of breadstuffs but by-golly-gee, thems were tasty.
you ain't tasted nothing til you've tried toasted quinoa / tofu / pecan / banana bread 😀
that's probably not a real thing, but if Sue was to read this, I'm sure she'd be up to try 😱

We have them occasionally, usually with chili. Still warm from the oven with lots of butter on them.
