The Black Hole......

TT-playable disc supposed to be bound into a magazine?

I remember the ones in NatGeo from time to time - moon landing, Churchill, etc. A very long time ago there was a vending machine where you could cut a record, I think it was in the Empire State building. (Which seems odd, but that's what I recall from a family trip to NYC when I was very young, but I may have thought everything was the Empire State Building.) It was like a photo both, you stuffed money in and babbled for a couple of minutes and a yellow record popped out (which I recall being rather flexible but I don't remember for sure).

Reason, yes. Practicality, unlikely. Unfortunately, humans don't work on reason as much as they would like to think they do.

To illustrate the general point with one specific example: Just look at some of the highly educated 'science only' types around here that have very emotionally-based beliefs about people who actually bother to listen.

Really? You can't even stop your agenda to wish everyone a New Year?

Happy New Year to all, even the shills.

Gee Mark you can do better. Do you really think the fact that people in power that can affect the health and well being of all of us believe in shape shifting aliens is more important than this DAC sound stuff?
