Excellentthey maybe cant dance well, but how about trampolining:

Now in an attempt to check the behavior of the elephant in the room, I used Bill’s link YouTube
Then using Audacity I applied 12dB/oct HP filter at 20,40,60,80,100Hz as a crude way of emulating the low cut-off effect of progressively smaller sealed loudspeakers (listen through headphones at first).

I wonder what that 4.5Hz blip was caused by? I need to lash up a new CD ripping setup so will see is that is on the CD.
Likely HVAC?
With the 70Hz high Q smallish sealed loudspeakers I don’t lose anything compared to the OB+W sub, only sense of space.Hi George,
The 40Hz version is good enough for me to get the message from the composer.
The missing fundamental effect is very strong with organ notes (proper harmonic structure).
It seems to be a well build-up resonance in the Hall (maybe a mechanical resonace of the organ). I checked another Tonhalle Zurich organ recording and it is there. Same shape at 4.7Hz.>Edit also the one at 15Hz.I wonder what that 4.5Hz blip was caused by

Why 4.5 Hz for HVAC though? Maybe a resonant mode in one of the pipes? The6 May be using a 2nd overtone fo4 the audible fundamental. Just guessing here of course.
There's always the mostly folklore articles about 10Hz resonances.
Maybe, but when the signal is flat to 1Hz I do wonder about the analysis. I've had some results with audacity I just didn't believe in the infrasonic region. In that case the analysis was slightly out but there was still some strange non-music down there.
Edit: Missed your post George. Interesting. Will google around to see if I can find out more.
Second Edit: Tonhalle got a new organ in 2017. less than 30 years for an organ is almost unheard of!

Ahh just thought about it again. Maybe a HVAC fan blade causing air turbulence - that would be circa 250 RPM?
For those interested in organs Organ details - Kuhn Organ Builders Ltd some info on the new Tonhalle organ. Best comment in that is
I assume that means it was great for solo stuff but no so good for orchestral accompaniment.
The preceding organ with Jean Guillou's remarkable specification has been dismantled and will find a new home in the cathedral of Koper, Slovenia.

Q: How do you get two lead guitarists to play in perfect unison?
A: Shoot one.

If you want bass there's always sunn0))) all dropped A bass guitars. YouTube
I prefer it to Bach even though they also like to perform in churches.

Wonder if they had to buy the rights to the logo from the old guitar amp company?
In a mutually beneficial situation I doubt anyone would complain.
It’s not easy to get away from J.S.Bach. (e.g. 60ies-70ies British rock was full of him)I prefer it to Bach even though they also like to perform in churches.
I see big tubes in there.Wonder if they had to buy the rights to the logo from the old guitar amp company?
