I think you misunderstand this is nothing to do with DAC filters.
We've been discussing the possible audibility of envelope distortion of anti-imaging filters for weeks.
Ok so what did you all find ?.We've been discussing the possible audibility of envelope distortion of anti-imaging filters for weeks.

On Dorian, right? Superb.

Yeah. But, try something new.
Take a risk. You might like it.
Do you actually think that in the last 45yr. I have never had a friend or acquaintance with "bass"? I find high SPL and big bass as essentially a sociopathic activity.
Richard, I know that the MET7's do not have any deep bass, or any extreme highs either. They do have good midrange, however.
What Richard Sequerra did when he made a more expensive speaker is to add lots of bass, 24"woofers, and his ribbon tweeter on top to create an extended high fidelity system.
I actually live with a pair of MET7's without a subwoofer, (mostly because it annoys the neighbors) or without an added supertweeter. It is just fine for cable TV.
When I turn on my Wilson Shashas' I am always surprised by the extended bass, but I don't do it every day.
It is a bit like having two cars. One for the store, etc., and the other for pleasure driving on back roads. Scott doesn't believe in performance cars, as well, I would assume.

I have owned subs ( twin 18 inch in folded rear loaded transmission line enclosures) they are only needed for organ..impressive there, or movie effects channel. Any system which goes to 40hz before starting to roll-off will be fine for the other 99% of music.

Only as a system check. That extract is really what I call an elephant trying to do some pirouettes.
That said,…(1942)…
Balanchine: "I wonder if you'd like to do a little ballet with me."
Stravinsky: "For whom?"
Balanchine: "For some elephants."
Stravinsky: "How old?"
Balanchine: "Very young."
Stravinsky: "All right. If they are very young elephants, I will do it."

Just took a listen on your YouTube link on the iPad. I’ll have to try that a bit later on the system! He he
I have run four large box sealed 12" 3 ways (inverted stacked pairs) with 500W/4+500W/4 good sounding PA amp as home system.I have owned subs ( twin 18 inch in folded rear loaded transmission line enclosures) they are only needed for organ..impressive there, or movie effects channel. Sure was big and clean sounding hifi and bass went way down, I found tuning the house necessary, ie closing all windows and cavities like cupboards, wardrobes, drawers etc and closing hallway room doors, maybe leaving far hallway end room door open or closing door off listening room to near end of hallway there were different permutations and tunings.
I'm not sure if it was Bach or AC/DC that caused slab settling and fine cracking of some walls .

I had a next door neighbor who liked to crank up his not very impressive sound system at times many folks preferred to sleep. He also was fond of illegal fireworks!
So I bought the house from the owner.
A colleague at one job I did some years ago had a heavily tatooed neighbour who liked to play late night heavy metal with the speakers and amp against the party wall. He borrowed a 400W RF amp, a signal generator and a large coil of wire from work. Looped wire against the offending wall near presumed location of hifi unit and swept signal generator up and down until things went silent on the other side.
