It's an offline resampler allowing until dsd128.

No real time encoding, no dsd256/512.

The DSD playback approach that is the subject of this thread works perfectly well with DSD format files, it's just that most of us are using 'on the fly' upsampling of our existing PCM libraries. As has been pointed out by iperv though, to get good results you need DSD256 or better.

I know of at least one project that will be using FPGA to upsample to DSD256. Many of us are using HQPlayer to upsample to DSD256 (it does PCM to); it sound quality is second to none and it has excellent filtering options.

I use DIYIHNK I2S isolator between my USB-I2S Amanero & BIII, I guess I have to connect DSDon for Left channel & DATA for Right channel like attahced pic, right?

Works but needs more filtering, mixed signal with strong white noise, I used as per Ray advice 1K + 3.3nF.

The DSDon line is just an indicator that the Amanero is outputting DSD! The actual DSD signal is coming out of the BCL, DATA & LRCK lines.

I know where to get the signal from Amanero but not from the DIYIHNK isolator

GND is any GND pin(s). LRCLK should be left, DATA should be right, but that can change depending on which firmware the Amanero has loaded, so test it to be sure.

BTW, if you've populated all of your SE board, if you connect DSDon to the pin8 pad you should have the LED light when you have DSD data to the amanero.

First impression is more relaxed and less electronic sound like less processed, have less gain than B3 + Legato, I used 1K Shinkoh + 3,3nF MKP 1000V, I have to listen more, I will keep informed.
