That would really be cool I have some ideas in the near future where this may work. I have been listening to the sub for hours and this is amazing the low end punch is incredible I do believe I will order another.Yeah, we'd have to throw a show together and make the trip worth it
Five 18" TH and two 15" TH shouldn't make a boring show
I'm using the SW100 in my set.
hi all i am new in this thread. just wondering whether xoc1 design is better than this design folding which reaches 35hz . i have built the below but loaded it with an 18inch driver

Hi Stewin,
Is this the cab designed by wood1y?
The first thing I notice from your response plot is the ~10dB difference from 40Hz to 30Hz. Whereas the difference is only ~4-5dB with the TH-18 when using the 18SW115 (of course there are other drivers that work very well - this is just for example's sake). Was any processing used (HPF) in that response plot?

First thing to ask is if you are using a Hi-Pass filter for your tapped horns?
The high pass filter is needed for any tapped horn design!

yes i am using the linkwitz riley active 24 db crossover up to 110hz or the below two schematics .
>>>one is a schematics for subs only i found on the web
>>>the other is a 24db i designed using the linkwitz 24db calculatorhttp://sound.westhost.com/project09.htm#download_esp_lr Linkwitz-Riley Electronic Crossover to fit my needs to cut the frequencies below 35hz and above24khz so as to get maxx spl out of drivers.
i always use active crossover with the subs

@ stewin
Hi, nice looking graph. The upper response, before it gets ragged, is one of the best i've seen
What driver is it ?
Xoc1 is right to ask about a HPF What type & f
oops that simulation is not mine but woody's http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/170749-15-tapped-horn-rcf.html i use new retone nr 18 speaker it is chinesse .i did not simulate mine setup but i will once i get to know how to do it.
Had a gig on Saturday night and used a TH115 and a TH118 together used Crown xti 2000's with both subs and the result was very nice you can really hear the 25Hx-40Hz increase with the TH118 low end punch was even more amazing in fact I played "Bust a Move" and I had to back off the volume the widows were seriously rattling so bad they would have cracked for sure.Yeah, we'd have to throw a show together and make the trip worth it

The widows loose their husbands, then you try to rattle them to the point they crack .I played "Bust a Move" and I had to back off the volume the widows were seriously rattling so bad they would have cracked for sure.
