You can use a multimeter. It won't tell you much but it may show if the drive signal is really bad.

Should i set the meter on AC volts or DC volts

Post the DC voltage you read on each bank.

One bank shows 0v dc and other shows 7.91v dc

Yes it jumped up to 9v other stayed the same

Was the black meter probe on the source leg of the FET and the red on the gate of the same FET?

What's the DC voltage across the drivers (Q12/14)? Black on Q14 collector. Red on Q12 collector.
