Super Regulator

We beat this dead horse a couple years ago -- the only opamp I couldn't get to work was the beloved LT1028. I did a lot of tests. Repeating myself, the AD797 picked up excitation
from WABC-AM at 770kHz and was very happy to oscillate and beat along with the music/or talk show as the case was at the time.

You can? What link then?

For those having difficulty accessing waltjung.org, try this link:

index.html

Note the three link options highlighted. The third is the RefsnRegs directory, within which there is a TXT file listing details (A_All_RefsnRegs_Files.txt). Note: You can simply ignore a possible browser security warning. The sublinks provided use HTTPS when accessed.

There is also listed an email link, which is preferred over PMs.

May everyone remain virus free and otherwise healthy!

glennjarrett, one of the most important design variables that influences which regulator topologies are appropriate and which are not,

is one that you did not mention. Namely: worst case minimum DC input voltage.

It might be possible that you could use the LM1084 integrated circuit voltage regulator, if your worst case minimum DC input voltage is high enough. Study the datasheet for more information.
