you dont - put it back the way it was - and read some posts,
LCDs can not be used unless they were made for video input
of some kind, and have the parts to do so
you cant just slap a LCD in there and expect it to work
Sorry 🙁

It's the IDIOT again....... 🙂
Well since i'm an idiot and fried my 2.5" lcd's controller board, I now have a Kodak 650H carousel slide projector that has been modded for the 2.5" lcd screen. If anyone is interested in purchasing this from me let me know before I put it away in the basement.
I'll include the custom bracket for the lcd that i made.
I'll also include the lcd and controller board if you want it.
Make me an offer, i can accept paypal!

KIT TFT
2.5" TFT color LCD monitor with 250 nit CCFL backlight -- NTSC plug-and-play
prototyping kit with control circuitry, inverter, 12VDC power supply & cabling
$131
480 x 234, 150:1 contrast ; 30 ms
With an LCD like that could you send a 480P signal to it and use it as an EDTV display?
Could something like this be made to work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15075&item=3865900504&rd=1
This seems like a great idea for a projector but I am sure that we could make this really useful if we could find a high resolution LCD.
A 640 X 480 TFT LCD, even at $200, would give us a very good looking picture and with the projector would still cost very little.

sorry, lcds will not work unless they have video input
digital cam and video cam lcds only work with
the unit it came with - you can not just hook
them up to video to them

Hip screen LCD
Does anyone have detailed pics on how to mount the hip screen LCD? I have a Kodak carousel 800 with a DAH 500w 120v lamp that gets very hot. I mounted the screen in about the same place the slide should be and quickliy started developing a black spot in the center of the lcd. Besides adding another fan what could be done in order to keep the lcd from overheating? Someone mentioned heat glass, there are 3 pieces in line in front of the lamp looks like 2 condensor lenses with a piece of green glass in between the two. Is this not heat glass? And if it is would I have to use another one? Thanx for any help in advance.

Re: Hip screen LCD
mounting is just experimenting for everyone. it sounds to me though that you will need to add another fan.
many of these use 300w bulbs, i find it odd that yours has a 500w but who knows.Bassic39 said:Does anyone have detailed pics on how to mount the hip screen LCD? add another fan directly on top of the projector blowing down onto the lcd and your hot spots will be gone😀

HOW DOES THE BACKLIGHT WORK!??!
hey i got my screen out of the HIP controller and i tried to disconnect the backlight. it started smelling funny and smoking so i unplugged it and re-attacted the light, and now it works fine? is there a way to safley disconnect the light without having the high voltage arc through the board???
this pic is what it looks like now
