Thanks LKA,will wait for this new version.I do not recommend going for more than 50V power supply (SSR2). The protection is designed for max 200W/4R. I have a new PCB layout (SSR3), a larger heatsink (PSU up to 60V), three options for the optodriver (VOM1271, ASSR-621, Si8752). A prototype PCB is on the way, as soon as I verify the functionality, I can publish it.
Those vom1271t is out of stock too and is a big advantage any alternative but available opto.😉
Hello thimios,
you can try these. I will look at ON later today if I get time (I know the Nexperia ones quite well - worked there for 10 yrs 😉 )

I have all the SR200's Transistors soldered in the bottom side of my board, see pic.I do not recommend going for more than 50V power supply (SSR2). The protection is designed for max 200W/4R. LKA do you think that could be a possibility or an option to have T6 who could be soldered on the bottom side with a hole on the board to be able to fix it on the main heatsink ? thanks

Eager to see your results!
Hi LKA,
That SSR3 board is a very neat piece of design - it reminds me of the discrete ladder volume control.
I look forward to it's check/completion and possible GB or list on the diyA shop.

Hi LKA!
Thanks a lot for sharing! The Si8752 is my Standard MOSFET driver for SSRs since some time and works well in several Applications. So this looks reassuring.

Winfried

No need for this bustard Vom1271t!
Mouser have 1.943 pieces in stock now.
PS. Finally i have some vom1271t on hand now!

Did your Prototype PCB's show up?
I do not know where you had your pcb made but when I use jlcpcb, I order with the DHL option to pay tax and customs brokerage included so no delays at customs or DHL
- Home
- Amplifiers
- Solid State
- SSR for speaker protection?
