Spooky and Hellraiser SMD 60W amps (Wolverine compatible IPS)

Anybody need an ARCWELDER ?
Bragging rights ?? 500W of pure Spooky power !
Shown is the spook that the (Wolverine team) did not want. I must adapt it to the new standard.
PS - in this case , you will need the NJW outputs as the driver semi's.

I decided on a 5 pair setup for the Arkwelder.

"Badgerine' now gets it's beta tranny reference from the VAS cascode. We can use low voltage BCxxx for all now. NO saturation ,
absorbed by the cascode led's , same as the Spook ! 40 parts per billion ! 2 pole comp. is cool ,adds another 15db OLG at 10-20Khz.

Full manly .... nice manly sub amp. To drive that 1/2KW 4R/ 40mm Xmax piston woofer.
Go - Go class AB !! Would fit on one side of DIYA's Dissapante 400mm deep 3U.
Arkwelder would at least do 400W/4R with 60V rails. Spook would push a nice "clamped" 110V P-P
through the "manly" sub....

Thank you , I have not made that one (badgerine) yet.
BUT , I have made the BIG manly output stage that goes with it. Same as the schema.
If I buy the "dissipante" 3 U , one side will be this OPS.

Build this amp !! Be stunned by the "manlyness" .... 😉 a stereo pair would be killer !

I went 18mm 1Kuf 80V electro's - wolverine ips fits , my new ips's fit. Fully OCD'ed.
I guess i'll upload this at the beginning post. I would be lying , this is NOT a 60W
output stage. Bipolar , either too small ... or too big !!

Uncle OS.... my present system is 2.1 active cross over system with LM1875 chip amp.
My goal is to make active cross over system with your design,
i need just 50W for my mid speaker (VFA wolf or symasui mini)
and 25W for my tweeter (maybe mini hellriser CFA)
a sub will be later (with VFA spooky).
but im still have problem to convert your 3EF to 2EF
for reason: i want all to fit in 08cmx10cm board from the factory printed board (3EF take too much place)

Maybe you wonder why I run at <4mA ? This is a EF3 , very high Z ... 4mA is @ .6W .. most SMD VAS semi's are rated at
1W with NO PCB heatsinking. I'm using about 4 CM/2 FR4 , this rates >1.5W.
I've never seen any through-hole VAS to even get warm @ over 5mA , so the SMD should be good to go.

All these IPS will run a standard EF2 , just fine. You might have a issue with Pd of the VAS. EF2 likes a 7-10mA VAS.
7-10mA bias needs through-hole TO-126 devices (or) 20 sq. CM on the SMD BJT. (3 sq. inch). The through-hole BJT radiates
through it's larger body into the air. PCB does not make the most ideal heatsink.
I'm trying these SMD VAS BJT's for the first time , I'm not sure how they will do at >5mA. So , I back off to 3.8 mA.
