To avoid confusion:
Plans for single-ended Sony VFET amps using 1 VFET per channel are moving
ahead. The offering will not be ready in 2 weeks, as I am still testing front
end circuits and getting a bracket made. Far more likely November.
Plans for new ACA amps also moving ahead, but delayed slightly by new
chassis design requiring artwork revisions. Probably November also.

They look genuine, my IRF240´s has thicker pins also. Same smooth bottom side.
I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and do not intend to open a can of worms, but just ask a simple question. Has anyone tried to power his kit from a SMPS? If yes, any positive experiences?

Great news that so many Sony VFET’s were kept in reserve of the original VFET offerings. Also great to read that nr of build mishaps has been lower than expected, I suspect very much to the credit of the excellent build guide!
I myself only received a kit for the VFET amp as part of batch-3 & am still collecting all the parts to start my build. Soldering for me is pretty a much a winter months activity, so hope to get stuck in properly in a few weeks time (almost there with the parts). Hopefully, if the worst comes to the worst, it would great if a spare set of VFET’s would still be available.

As others have suggested, maybe more important then a name which can come in time, a method for the store to create a list for those "greedy boyz". I know I'm in for at least 2 sets and if greedy is good, spares. Best, H

Help in an adequate name choice of new Mr Pass amplifier will be a short description of simplified function blocks.
