Something to lighten the mood

I was accused many times by Chicago Police of being a drunk that lost their license for drunk driving for riding a bicycle. I rode everywhere for decades, just to get the exercise. Simply by virtue of being an adult on a bicycle was justification for police to harass you. It happened many times.

Times have changed I think. It is very common to see adults riding bicycles now.

Uh ... OK, Cap'n Cal ...

Stumbling down the Street today, observant and ever the hunter-gatherer, as ever, I found a discarded item in the gutter.

Ah, a free new ciggie lighter once I refill it with gas! I hate paying for these things. It wasn't even empty as it goes.

But there is more. It has an LED Torch built in. TBH, I am unsure if it is powered by Piezo-electricity or a battery.

But, imagine what Stone-Age Man would have done with this thing. The gift of FIRE and LIGHT in one concise package!

Cheap too. Sheer flippin' genius. BTW, quitting smoking will improve your health. But my view is I would have worried far more about Sabre-Toothed Tigers in the Stone Age on a dark night than an occasional Ciggie.

Those lighters sold here use 3 x LR 41 cells for the LED, and sell for about 15 Rupees (or 20 cents).
The plastic cracks after some time.
So refill at your risk, a small 300 gram refill device is about 120 Rupees here, really a small aerosol can with adapters. Good for about 20 refills if you are skilled about leaks from the nozzle.

I buy 3 small regular lighters for 20 Rupees here, no lights etc. Same size as in picture.
That is about 25 cents. Quality is proportionate, a little iffy.
