Very odd. I had one a couple of years ago and c305 & 308 were Silmic, one of the other caps was Muse. The filter caps were TDK with AuriCaps for bypass. It sounded more like a tube amp and had great bass. I have also owned three 4650's and an 8650.

C305 / C308 are in the power supply
I might be off, but it is possible that old PSU caps there are not helping the response at low frequency, Bass needs current delivered from the power supply... See also C306 and C307. And YES that's an entirely "in my opinion, based on no theory" sort of comment.

I've always changed them as a precaution so don't over look proud father syndrome.
