Slewmaster - CFA vs. VFA "Rumble"

This is my amp design :

All the stages optimized for speed ,low distorsion and constant delay .

Call it what you want,
because this is the reason why making an a good amplifier
is not available to everyone, and the reason why some cost more than 150k

There is no mystery to class AB audio amplifier topologies, nothing much has changed since the 1970's. There is no justification for a $150K amplifier unless it is plated with 1.5kgs of pure gold.

Your amplifier design provides us with no details, just some functional blocks.

It would be more appropriate for you to start a new thread to discuss your amplifier design rather than doing it here as its distracting from the slewmaster cfa/vfa discussions.

This is the sch of the best amplifier (tube) I have ever heard:

For a long time I have been thinking why and I have found several causes:
1-Tubes are very fast
2-Have very high current gain
3-Low and Linear capacitances
4-Non feedback
5-Single ended design , one device per stage

I'm sorry I forgot that people like discussion about nonsense

Your design is non sense.
With or without global negative feedback, it can have very low distortion. Dr. Arto Kolinummi proved it in his book. But, some designer use without global negative feedback to achieve very high slew rate because they do not understand to achieve very high slew rate using global negative feedback. Usually amplifier without global negative feedback have very high distortion, because they do not understand how to achieve very low distortion without global negative feedback.

@bimo:
thanks for the info about Arto Kolinummi's book, that I wasn't aware about.
I just read the preface in Amazon and I couldn't agree more to his motivation to do his research.
His findings will most probably accelerate my own project, so I will purchase it as soon as I find a source in Germany.

I still see some interest.

Yes , no Corona here. Soon to be vaccinated ...even.

Glad to see many new interested "amp students" asking questions. :D

I have be honest , I have been busy with better loudspeakers and simpler
amps. I fell in love with the TDA1342 (below) after repairing a couple sony amps.
Went further to add (and reverse engineer) the JVC "super A" type
bias control. So cheap , what I got was a blameless type PPM non-switching
blowout proof amp. This is why those sony's last for 30+ years.

Wow ,the DIYA site is now a modern HTTPS masterpiece.

Glad to see your back.

I have found a DIY A post here with a schematic of JVC super class A chip VC5022
équivalent de VC5022

Is it interesting for you guys?

Happy to see you again....!
