Slewmaster - CFA vs. VFA "Rumble"

Wow! Good news in the morning! Welcome back Pete!

Cheers,
Val

Yes , thanks to you / Wilhelm , I had great reliable movies/music.
(Amp worked better than me) :D

Still using the protection circuit and spooky/5 pair OPS. Every day all day ,
flawless with HD theater/musical material.
Have not quite installed J. Wilhelms machine metal on my extrusions. My
dexterity is returning by leaps and bounds. I might be able to drill soon !

Wow , typing is SO easy now - this is fun !

You don't appreciate these things unless you lose them.

Thanks to yourself and all my other "fans" !! (great bunch of guys).

Where the ship is headed.

(Below) is one design that I really wanted to try.

Maybe with a classic simple EF3 (true single pair toshiba/ sanken 70W OPS
(HK680 like).

Non modular full project with the standard compound Vbe "sandwiched"
between the driver pair.

An advanced cool running CFA. This input stage is mostly 12V @ <10ma per rail
operating current. Most beautiful "soft clip" at the VAS , as well.

It simulates way better than CFA-X or any prior models. Some might just
need a smaller (<100w) refined design.
BTW - I still like spooky .... but this is a unique design with many advantages.

Good to hear things are looking up, I know all too well how it feels to not be able to get anything done.

Great that you are back and already building again upon your sugery☺
Any thoughts of trying V3 of your spooky?
Exiting with your new design as always☺

A fan of you☺

The Wizard of OS is back

First , I just had cervical (neck)spinal surgery 48 hrs ago.

I did not have ALS/ Parkinson's , but a fixable spinal stenosis.
I thought I was a dead man a week ago. No arms , legs ... falling .
Spinal cord was pinched down to a couple millimeters (yikes)!
Surgery was massively successful.

I would like to apologize to anyone who I presented with a negative attitude.
Especially , my good friends Vzaichenko and J. Wilhelm - to whom I probably
came across as uncaring and disrespectful.

These forum members and others are most likely the kindest and high quality
people I have met in either the virtual or real world. If the whole world was
like this we would have peace.

It's kind of surreal being able to type this easily , being able to feel my digits.
I am VERY happy. Very good to know I do not have a long term degenerative
condition .

I intend to (and look forward) to contribute further as I continue to improve.
I hope I can be forgiven for any negativity I might have conveyed in the last
few months.

Thanks and happy "tinkering"
Peter Vogel (OS). :)

Excellent news is very good to have you back I always follow your threads but did not participate because not mastered very well the English language I'm very glad you're well and back to work wish you a quick recovery and a long life with your family and children
PS. if something seem strange in this post is because I'm using google translator

The response from members has been unprecedented .

Don't worry , I will provide.
My mind is in overdrive , locked without a body for a long as it has been.
I could not imagine what Steve Hawkins must have to endure.

It's like a decade of this , I can feel now !!

I'm sort of "shocked" by having full central nervous system control.
Like being "born again".
