Slewmaster - CFA vs. VFA "Rumble"

Almost as bad as the "spooky". :smash::smash:

Almost gave up on it. -- HULK SMASH FILTHY DIYA AMP !! 😀😀

Sort of redesigned it ...as I almost "gave up on it":headbash::headbash:.

Came up with a deluxe VFA that will please even the guru's.

20hz - .5ppm
200hz - .5ppm
2k- 1ppm
10k - 3ppm
20k-4ppm
220V/uS slew ..
Good enough for me !
Servo'ed it (of course).

Had to use EVERY sq. CM of the board (85 parts).
Even thermally compensated the CCS and referenced the servo from
the lifted ground (not G2).

We have a "lab amp" here. 😀
New schema and I will release the artwork tomorrow. (GLA lovers rejoice) !
This is the new "champ" (3)

This will be the last 😱 VFA contribution to this thread.

Next is the "eyesee" , a CFA IC based design.

I have leave my town for a little rest.
I see new IPS .
Terry this VFA is a job for you now.I'm back in the end of the week.
I will try to read this thread every day.
Good luck to " Vzaichenko edition" VFA.
Best regards

Looks like I have all the parts so I just need the foil etch pattern so I can make a couple of boards.

Blessings, Terry

Well , here you go .... "mr. IPS factory". I am warmed up, now.

Had a snowstorm/power failure ... knocked back to the 19'th century
for 2 days 😱 .

You would be the first to tackle this type input stage ... I found no
others on DIYA besides vzaichenko's . :devily:

Are you making any progress with your own amp?

Yes , a kind member is shipping me a great case for the slews.

I have -

- a "lesser" 35-0-35V 500va toroid.

- boards (too many - 2 pair badgers/2 pair slew 5P/1 pair 2P)
PS- I'll trade all 4 Badgers for parts (2 are stuffed).

-4 of the 8200u 100v sanwha apex caps(vender), not enough for
2 amps (I would trade them,too) , he don't sell them anymore 🙁 .

-2 -35A/400V bridges

- 2 really great pair of speakers and a subwoofer/with case (needs amp).

- I don't have semi's/passives.

Last time I DIY'ed I had the genesis case-PS (too big/heavy) and toner
boards. This time - no foolin' around , OEM quality ... protection
(and a slewmaster sub/amp !)

I'm still short one burned out PC from the move - my son needs his games (motherboard instead of a mouser order)🙄 .

"You need a "man sized":male: toroid to go with those 5 pair output boards! I couldn't even test properly with a 35-0-35V."[/QUOTE]
35-0-35 V A.C gives about 50V D.C . Absolutely satisfactory for Slewmaster if we haven't a bigger transformer.
PS Hi vzaichenko we type at the same time.🙂

I'd like to read about that "vzaichenko Arduino". Even as I would try to
avoid something unique or proprietary - I would like to see firmware control
the protection.

PS - I read some of Valery's threads looking for "arduino" - My respect
for him is mutual - VERY precision designs and builds !! 😱

With an Arduino and some additional interface circuits, you could control the bias of an amp "intelligently" also. Then add the protection and AC power control, such as zero crossing and opto-isolation. Lot of good stuff. It is coming just like 3D print is.😱
