Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but here's another review:
Where might I find opinions on comparisons between the SIT-3 and XA-25 other than power of course? They are roughly in the same price region.

I found this one:
https://theaudiobeatnik.com/reviewing-nelson-pass-first-watt-sit-3/
me thinks that's apples and oranges
same garden , but ....
those XA25 watts are really from some other Watt domain

Those are one of our WAW prototypes. SDX7eN sealed, A7.3eN in midTL. 1st order PLLXO @180 Hz. Probably our 2nd best (but not behind by much), but the box is the prettiest.

You got the SIT3 already?
Just dreamin’ — will be powered by ACA monoBloks & an old Hitachi built dual mono MOSFEt AB amp (a little tweaked).

Thank you Dennis! Had not seen that one.

Hi All,
Now a days all are talking about SIT's. As per the sit-1 and sit-2 manuals only two companies making SIT. one is Japanese having own amplifiers and another one is semi south. I am wondering is SIT SIC JFET ?. Any alternative available to those like triode character. Is it worth buying working old Sony TA-5650 for $357.
Thanks,
Nag

This is the no feedback amp hinted at on Reddit?

What I have in mind encompasses several possible front ends for an
output stage that incorporates a single VFET, all plug compatible.
At this point the design is not frozen but has four TO-3 transistors and
likely a different design for the P vs N channel VFETs.
The brackets have arrived which are fitted to the diyAudio Universal
Mounting Spec (UMS), and I will finalize this as soon as some other
projects are wrapped up.
