I don't know if you have the good service manual Perry ?
But on the main board the version of this amp it's a "REV A"

The schematic diagram I have is a PDF file with 4 pages. I don't know if there is a better one. The one I have doesn't show U3.
I search other service manual and nothing 🙁😕
so what can i do ?
Please help me
i also post a question on the sinus live forum and nobody answer 🙁

Generally, they LOOK OK except for the one with 180mv. It appears that the op-amp is working properly but without the missing page from the schematic diagram, I can't offer any suggestions as to what to check.
HEllo Perry
Thanks
I've got news about the schematic diagram 🙂
I send an e-mail to sinuslive and a technician send me the SLA-1500 service guide in pdf but we only see the power supply, the output stage amplifier and not the input with op-amp u1 u2 u3 😕
I send him another mail to ask the other part of the service manual,i hope he send me it ....
if you want i can give you the file maybe it can be useful for you ?
if you want it how can i give you the file? have you got a personal e-mail adress?
Thanks

other things
on my amp i have only 8 mos-fet IRF630 to the output amplifier and on the manual that i received from sinus live we can see 10 mos-fet IRF630 😕
There is second version of this amp sla1500V2 maybe it's the service manual for the new version V2 😕

they are pretty much the same, layout is a bit diffrent, I don't think elements are any diffrent also, there just more on later ones, like filters you can see on the left

oldest on the top, last one at the bottom... don't know if it is last up to this day
Hello
thanks for your help 🙂
for Perry: on my amplifier the mos-fet are IRF630N not IRF 630S
for luka: my amplifier version is the last at the bottom
I wait another schematics from sinus live, normaly i'll receive it monday 🙂

HEllo Perry 🙂
I use IRF640N not IRF630 sorry 😱
I think i've found the problem because i change 4 condensators near the tl494 circuit and now the pop noise with the potentiometer to set the subsonic level is at 183mv when i don't use the subsonic and when i use it to the max i have only 83mv before i replace condensator i have 2.74vdc at output !!!
a photo to show you what i have replace
the condensators surrounded in red are 25V 10µF and replace them with 25v 47µF
the condesator surrounded in green is normaly a 25v 100µF and i replace it with the same value.
also an important things when i power-up the amp, the tl494 circuit do not longer on/off on/off etc...before star the amp and the light do not longer that
but now i have -194.5mvdc after one or 2 minutes on the terminal speaker and seems to grow up extremely slowly ex: -194.4 or -194.5 etc....
and this appear immediately after the +83mvdc 😕
theses measurements are without speakers
do you think the problem comes the condensators ?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

For the test do you think i can mesure voltage without mounting the pcb and mos-fet on the heatsink ? because it is more easy for me without the heatsink ?
i have mesured the resistor R133 near U6 "ne555" on the power supply and on the schematics that you have Perry it is marked for 1kohms and when i mesure the résistor R133 i have 733ohms only maybe it's a cause of the problem because i think it's the ne555 who drive the mute delay isn't it?

now i'll replace the c38 condensator near the ne555 from the power supply and i put a 50v 1µf "i only have that" and led blinks more that create more problem than before but it prove that the problem comes the delay circuit or this condensator c38 who is failed
do you think the problem comes the c38 Perry ?
thanks 🙂

If you don't have the transistors tightly clamped to the heatsink and you're not EXTREMELY careful, a tiny mistake or not monitoring the temperature of the FETs could result in extensive damage.
The 555 is for the delay but it's difficult to know what R133 will read in the circuit because it's connected to to other components that are likely skewing the results.
C38 is the timing capacitor. A lower value capacitor will make the amp cycle more quickly. I don't think the problem is in this area.
You'll have to wait for the full diagram to troubleshoot the problem further.

Hello Perry
Ok but i receive the manual Monday or Tuesday......
but you're right about the C38 condensator "sorry i'm newbie for repair amp"
but now i change old condensator with same value for C38 and "C94 near tl494 CI"
and i change the condensators C36 and C99 surrounded in red "two near the transformer"
and now the pop noise disappears, i replace original condensator of 25V 10µF with 25v 47µF and i only hear a very little noise and when i put older condensators the noise appears again...
It is really strange
are you sure the problem isn't in the supply?
Thanks Perry

small precision
the pop noise is diseapear for the second time i power up the but for the first power on i have a pop noise of 5.34vdc on the terminal speaker and the tl 494
do extremely fast on/off on/off "i can hear a noise of switch from the Tl 494 circuit"
it seems that changing condensators C36 and C99 stop the problem only for for the next startup and not for the first startup 😕

I have just a question Perry who doesn't concerne the problem of "pop noise"
it's about 4 condensators of 250V 22µF on the amp near the output stage.
Can you tell me please what is their role in the amp?
Thanks 🙂
sorry for stupide questions....😱 but i want to understand the role of each component in an amplifier 🙂
