Not while keeping the same gain and noise specHi Salas, can I use the 2sk170v to replace 2sk369BL due to I have some 170v in my hands.thanks
Thanks Salas. Not while keeping the same gain and noise spec
BTW,Just sent a PM to you, would you please have a check.
Replaced Q3-Y; no change. Ordered replacement Q1 & Q2 and some spares. Probably get them installed in about a week. I'll report then. Thanks for your patience and help.
Replaced q-1 & q-2, no improvement.
On a bright note, I bought a Hakko FR-300 and used it to remove the SK369BlLs. It's a joy go use . The old FETs slid out easily and will fight another day.
So, what do you suggest for the next move?
Thanks
And the interstage capacitor if nothing comes out by replacing all TO-92s. Also look for flux remains between tracks and pads.

I'm using a 1.0 uf, 400 vdc Clatrity at c3. I've got two pairs of 0.22 uf film caps (Mundorf & Cardas) that I could use to test. (Single or parallel.) Would that be sufficient?
If so, I'd probably do that before pulling the remaining fets.
0.1uF is the recommended max for C3. But for distortion source finding purposes, not for permanent use, a 0.22uF will show if C3 was the problem. You wrote you show it around there with some probe. Although if without any info more than it got connected to a work in progress tube pre and then acted up I would first be suspicious of the output stage.
Understand.
I kind of expected if would be q-1 or 2. I've got 2 spare 170s, but only one in range, So, unless I order more, I'll have to re-install any 170s that don't test bad.

Already did that successfully in the past... just be sure to not overheat the legs of the 170.... I use miniature alligator clips that i put in each fet leg before soldering 🙂
Is there a way to easily see the pics of the various builds? Or do I just scroll through this incredible thread and look? It's my turn to build the Salas FSP as I am part of the most recent gb and I would like to see what others have done.

Maybe by googling for images when using some relative keywords
That worked. Thanks! By chance do you have a "best of" postings list? Long shot, but I thought I'd ask. 16000+ postings. Amazing.
That long is not too rare because many diyers run few projects or ideas in parallel. To get around eventually boxing it is the rarity in this situation 😀
Just measured consumption for thoughts about adding an LC. Exactly 106 mA per board. I think my raw gave me a volt or three over ideal so an 15-25 dcr choke would suite

Not a bad addition in general since you got some chokes lying around I presume. But LC maybe will drop more volts than aspiring to? OK, then a higher secondary Tx you may say. Anyway there is Duncan Sim before drilling the box or perform some measurements when still all that stuff is loose.
I have some different filament chokes to test with, generally with lower DCR. Ideally I would prefer a common mode like http://www.lundahl.se/wp-content/uploads/datasheets/2733.pdf. Maybe I can special order one with lesser gap for more inductance. Then I can level off with RD/link. I have some selectors on back order so the boxing will not be ready until end of summer anyway.
Just builded one from gb and I have to really thanks Salas and Tea for make this great phonostage available. It's ourtstanding performer and value. I have compared it with some others projects and it performed surpruising well.
