I’ll take two boards worth of Philips AHCT595, the old generation NXP I hoped to acquire turned out to be no good.
Thanks to Pavel’s gerber, I’ve got some blank boards made according to his suggestion. Some spare sets left, if anyone interested. 🙂 If there’s enough interest, I could provide the Philips AHCT595.

I'm ordering some more. My small stock was all spoken for already. Would be ready in 10 days if you don't mind waiting.

Thanks for making these available thuanth43!
I have an order in at Taobao - through a purchasing agent - for what appear to be Philips AHCT595ds. However, if that doesn't work, or if they are not what I am expecting, I would be interested in 2 boards worth of them from your stock!
Greg
No problem! Let me know when you’ve got them together and we can figure out the logistics.
Thanks for doing this!

How about using female socket on board instead?

Yes, you can and this option. But then you have to make PCB resistors 0.8mm thickness. How about using female socket on board instead?

These all appear to be 40 position, not 80 position (2x40). I had a hard time finding the right ones in stock at Mouser or Digikey, so I ended up ordering 2x50 connectors for my build from eBay. SMD male and T/H female: 1x40P/50P 2x40P/50P Male Female SMD Pin Header Connector 1.27mm Golden Breakable | eBay.
Additionally, I ordered the T/H right angle RCAs (2 pairs, there are sellers w/ a single pair) at 2pair PCB Mount Jack RCA Audio Plug Male Solder Locking Audio Grade Connector | eBay.

Can I have a couple of boards please ? pm sent
cheers

I must warn you that the mute keys TS5A3167DBVR are very sensitive to static electricity. There were cases of failure of keys with frequent experiments with output stages and transformers. This is manifested in increased THD and a violation of the symmetry of the shoulders at DC.
Thanks a lot for warning 🙂
I guess that black output transformers perform better than stock - yellow (v2.6.2), as they are almost double prize and different core material?

I'm looking at purchasing a pair of Lundahl LL1684's for the latest DSC2. It's not listed in the BOM, but the PCB appears to have provisions for it. Anyone have experience with these? Any downside of using them besides the price?
Pavel, are you planning on releasing a stuffing guide for the PCB, the silkscreen for a number of components is pretty ambiguous. If not, I may take a stab at annotating the Gerber from the schematic for my own reference and will share it here if others would find it useful. If possible, generating the full annotated layout using the component references in KiCad would be much quicker and less error prone.
Thanks,
Greg

The Lundahls are fantastic. I am using them with DSC 2.5. But you have to be patient - they need a long time breaking in.
Both are permalloy😕😕😕
Finally! Almost finished my DSC2 V5.2 build. Just need to finish assembling the last power supplies and then do the hook-up wiring.
Pavel, any reason why I shouldn't stack the output board that way up?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
