Will there be both voltage / current gain, as has been considered?
We are still investigating for voltage gain
(around 35x40ish cm) I don't have the exact measurements but we will make it (box)slightly bigger to make sure that there is minimal interference . 3 pin socket with on/off for AC
Earthing will be done by us inside the box . Earth lug will be provided for your favorite DAC connection.
Dual mono amps in same case?

Bigger than my laptop? I can make some sacrifices, but it won't fit on my desk no matter what. I can tell it's going to be a dealbreaker to many.

I am on my way to the Allo Dealer's place in Bangalore to collect my Boss2 Player with Moode and Shanti PSU.
I have a Marantz CD Player, Topping D50s DAC and several DIY Pass Amps with Fostex 168Sigma drivers in MLTQWP cabinets.
Looking forward to see if I made the right choice with Boss2 as I would have voted for USBridge Signature if only Allo had the option to upgrade to Rpi4 Compute Model and a couple of USB 3.0 were provided.

I do understand that some want a very small form factor . My main objective is sound quality and 115W+ . Unfortunately there is no way that I can achieve power and sound quality in a small form factor .
I am unable to take a straight THD+N since our AP is not state of the art . My best calculation shows betwen Purifi (no gain) and Hypex N 400.
We are still tweaking ...
Purifi used global feedback (compact) and we use ultralow noise PSU (big) and air core inductors (that need space)
The box I gave the numbers for, consists of one PSU and dual mono channels amp (LR)
We will test boxes and chose whats best.
oh yeah , I see one oversized item on Purifi..price

No estimate right now, but I hope you all know it will be "best bang for the buck"
For the box we might be able to reduce further I will know in about 3 weeks
Just to clarify , the amp (from my calculation) is 3 in the world as far as measurements go. .. (First is Benchmarh HB2 and second Purifi no gain)
Measurements were not our main goal . Sound quality was. Everything we did on this amp was with the goal of having a great sounding AMP
Instead of using global feedback , we relied on correcting every noise , oscillation at the SOURCE. It might not sound like much (and its rather old school ) but (in my personal opinion) its groundbreaking .
So you start with a PSU that outputs uV of noise at 200W..then take a clock line aka mosfets (again 50V 5A ) and reduce noise with EMI technique used for CMOS! Every component was placed like in a tetris game and every mm was counted with the purpose of reducing parasitics.
We beat TI engineers by around 10db
Time and those golden ears will say , if our approach was correct , for SQ.

Can't wait to hear this amp!!
I got my Allo Boss2 Player with Shanti PSU. I should say with all due respect to the folks at Allo, that I am quite disappointed with a few things.
1) The DC supply wires on the Shanti are too long. Some folks may need the length. But I am DISAPPOINTED and SHOCKED at the quality and gauge of the cables. I wouldn't use such thin wires to carry 3A or even 1A for that matter.
2) The Joystick on the Boss2 Player is very substandard.
3) The slot for the SD Card is not aligned. I may have to dismantle the cover to remove and put in cards.
4) Remote Control Volume button does not increase or decrease when depressing the buttons continuously.
5) The manual of the BOSS2 Player is sparse. There is no proper description of the product, either on the website or in the manual.
6) Being a newbie to the Rasberry world, I realize that I made a mistake buying the Boss2 Player with MOODE OS. I don't have music on any local drive. I wanted to use Cloud Streaming Services like Amazon Music, YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp etc., I haven't yet found a way of doing this.
7) Shanti AC cord is supplied without the Earth Pin in the plug. Defeats the very purpose of providing Ground terminals in Shanti and Boss.
8) Compared to the quality of construction and nimbleness of Joystick on my Topping DAC, Allo finish and quality is a big let down, for me personally.
Too early to comment on performance though.

Hi Sam
wire gauge on Shanti and Nirvana is standard for 3A. IFI uses the same.
Shanti AC cord has earth. Please check again.
Moode . DietPi , PCP are opensourced. You can switch between OS by flashing the SD card . Please check that best fits your need.
In the end , if you are not satisfied you can always return the product for a full refund .

I found Shanti sounded better with the long wires it comes with than it did with much shorter and heavier gauge wires. At least it did for my particular application.
I find this very interesting, I also viewed the longer wires as a negative.
