That question has been asked so many times... A quick search here will yield too many hits to make sense of.
Exactly. Seems like sticky fodder.
I see RJM has a few projects that have quite a following, and this one has been around for nearly 20 years with a lot of people having successfully built it. Several RJM projects (the ones marked "active") seem to have BOMs. Is anyone aware of a BOM for this?
I've only been doing this tube hobby for a year now, but back in the 80s and as a kid I've always enjoyed electronic project articles. I remember the Borberly article in the 80s for his RIAA pre amp. Audio X press resurrected that project and have two iterations of refinements here, maybe a possibility too.

Well... It took me long enough, but I finally finished it up last night! Obviously lots going on in the interim, but I got there.
Here's the whole thing very nearly complete (I think all I did after this was twist the transformer primaries and secondary grounds).
Closeup of the amplifier section itself.
Walnut sides are french polished with garnet shellac. I made them with my two year old daughter; no power tools. Chassis is inset into the scales by about a third to half their depth.
Glowshot.
Sounds fantastic! It's replacing a $14 Pyle preamp from Amazon. It got the job done, but obviously lots of room for improvement. Next step is a matching line amp and speakers!
