Got my package today thank you.
Going through the bom now and thinking what the proper voltage rating should be for elec caps
1000uf and 10000 uf
Should this be 35v or better to have 40v
My guess is 10000 uf 40v
1000uf 35v
Thanks,
Oleg

Oleg, take into account that the mains voltage may vary (by 10%, for example) , that the transformer's secondary may vary, ...
To be on the safe side, use at least 40V - caps; I myself have used 50V types throughout.
Best regards - Rudi

Hi Rudi, thank you.
You are right keeping in mind that we have 240-260v ac here.
24v trafo would be roughly 36v. Ill go for 50v+ than.

Hi Rudi.
How many FC-100 channels SPO-PCB capable of and what is the total parts cost? If the output devices are not perfectly matched will they dissipate more heat and amplifier power handling suffer?

Andy, the parts cost would mainly depend on the parts that you are using.
My order on partsconnexion for instance without 10000uf caps is around 100usd for two channels.
With prp and takman resistors, elna caps.
It could be cheaper with different parts

Got my package this morning as well!
Thanks Joshvi!! This is going to make our lives simpler since we won't have to do the matching ourselves.
Ciao!

Thanks for facilitating this GB!
I am always in for a good reference amp.
If there is any left, 2x PCBs + essential parts, where should I sign in?
Thanks and regards,

Hi Ionmw,
I have one set of PCBs from previous group buy and some transistors. No output devices.

First part done... Ordered all resistors, Takman metal film
Rest of the parts will be shortly.

I got sidetracked with VFET amp and a speaker build. FC-100 is at the top of my to-do list. Have part order nearly ready.

The SPO BOM via Reichelt lists the bridge rectifier as B380C1500B by Diotec.
In North America this type comes up as the incorrect round WOG type.
Pinout also seems to be a bit unusual on the Diotec.
Can anyone recommend a suitable Mouser PN to use?

PCB's and Transistors
So I would really like to build one of these amps if there are still transistors and amplifier boards available (so output transistors, C3423/A1360 pairs and two boards).
I was thinking about redesigning and having boards made to take MJL4281AG/MJL4302AG which have higher PD and breakdown voltages than the NJL pairs(much higher cut off current it seems). But after reading about the benefits of having all the transistors matched and possible compatibility problems of using subs I'm not sure about going this route.
If there are any board and transistor sets left I would be interested in buying them.

I'm getting there... I've ordered all the parts from Mouser today!
I'll be using Mirand Audio Softstart module and Project16 PSU for the output stage but amplifier PCB and shunt for the input stage will remain unchanged.
Can't wait to get started!

Mystery solved here. Package type is 2KBB or D-37. Vishay makes a few.
